San Antonio can win but they won't. Gasol/Randolph over Duncan and whoever else Spurs can muster inside. Tony Allen will give Parker or Ginobili fits. Leonard will have to come up gigantic and I don't think he can against Griz grinding D. Mike Conley just needs not to get dominated by Parker for his team to go to the Finals - which they will in 6.

I learned a long time ago never to count out Pop, Duncan, Manu and Parker. Even if they're not the "cool" pick. Spurs in 7.

i agree about the Spurs. And the homecourt advantage has to give them the edge. I think it will be another great series, but I see the Spurs prevailing ... in 7.

I did vote for Grizzlies in six and am very much rooting for that to happen. on the other hand though, I want to see Tim Duncan in the Finals one more time, especially considering what happened the last time a LeBron-lead team met the Spurs in the Finals.

Spurs looking good through 2 games. However, I still believe this goes 7.

Games 3 and 4 should be very, very good. I believe this postseason, Memphis is undefeated at home and the Spurs are undefeated on the road.

The Spurs just never lose their cool... Even when a bogus flagrant foul was called against Manu, he didn't flinch, he didn't whine and he didn't throw a hissy-fit. If the Grizzlies don't win game 3, I think the Spurs do it all in 4 and go home to rest and wait to see what happens with Miami and Indiana.

i'm shocked the grizz are struggling the way they are. i thought the combination of zbo and gasol would be too much for them.

i thought the same, but the spurs have done an incredible job frustrating z-bo and keeping gasol out of the paint. that said, in last night's game memphis showed the grit and determination that got them this far in the first place. they clamped down on defense in the fourth quarter and sent it into overtime, but ran out of gas in the final moments of the game, missing gimme's at the rim...

they have to successfully defend their home court across the next two games, and they still have to steal one in san antonio, but i'm not counting them out yet. z-bo's 7-26 from the field so far in this series. once memphis unlocks the key to bringing the best out of him again, their offense will steady, and they'll have a helluva chance to push the spurs to seven games. their defense can do the rest...

At this point, I'm rooting for the Spurs mainly on Pop and gang (having been so smoothly adjust to what throws at them so far) against the talents from South Beach... in 6 or less.

Grizzlies in 7. Remember the last time they won an opening game(s) in the playoffs? Neither can I. Give them time to adjust to the Spurs's style, time to figure out the enemy offense, and San Antonio will Burn.

Both teams are very good. Don't underestimate the Spurs ability to prepare either

Another game headed to overtime. I'm loving this year's playoffs, almost as much as I did when the Kings were in them!

And now you're seeing what a veteran team with an incredible coach can do in the playoffs. Never ever underestimate the Spurs.

The Spurs just never flinch do they? They are just a great team; they deserve to have one last shot to get another ring.

Good win for the Spurs, they fought well and deserved the win. It will be interesting to see if they can win another championship, I'd rather them than Heat.

That's what impresses me the most about them. For all the talk of the Spurs having changed their style they are still a very good defensive team. And like you said they don't flinch. Their plays drawn out of timeouts are a joy to watch and really show you the brilliance of the coach and players.

I can actually remember way back in the dinosaur days when Adelman would draw up a play and Christie, Peja, Webb, Vlade and Bibby would execute it...all like they knew what they were doing. Ah, the good old days.

Hope the long layoff doesn't hurt the Spurs.

okay, this is kind of awesome, take a look at who the lone guy picking the Spurs as Western Conference champion was: link
