I dont want to demean the players efforts but isnt the money Telems players donatiing basically like us dropping a penny in a salvation Army bucket!? If say Kobe , McGrady, JO dug deep in their pockets and shelled out 7 figures a piece like Sandra Bullock did then that to me would be impressive. Id like to see that. It would be a very good thing for the league if alot of those multi-millioniares did that.
don't get it wrong, slug and sloter. i believe what TMac and the guys did was only symbolic to raise awareness on national TV. He could have donated PRIVATELY a whole lot more, and nobody knew about it.

We all should appreciate their silent contributions.

Correct, Slim. BUT, what makes me wonder is why media chooses to make a story about someone giving 10,000 as opposed to someone giving 10,000,000. I mean, they could have written the story about me too...
the difference is, if the media wrote a story about the Joe Moes like us donating 100 bucks, not a lot of people would really care. But a story about a sport figure or celebrity donating 10,000 dollars, his/her fans and many others would chip in here and there.

Does this include Jermaine's money? Or not?
Not. It's been a few days since I read the article on pacers.com, but IIRC half of this money is from Pollard, and the Pacers matched it to make it 57400 instead of their 28700.

So all told, JO's $55,000 + Scot's $28,700 + Pacers Org.'s $28,700 = $112,400 from the Indiana Pacers total. :)

Very nice #, Hicks. I hope the other teams come up with something in that area.

It's good to know the NBA is doing their part to help out the victims.

Truly blessings to hear so many people are helping out and uniting as a nation.

That's a fair statement, but why would you hold it against the players? They don't write the articles...
True. They don't write the articles.

It could've started when I saw who represented all those players. Arn Tellom. I admit I still hold a grudge for the Billy Owens situation 13 years ago. ... But it worked out for us anyway in the longrun.

I really like having him. Been a fan of his personality since he arrived, and this year he was actually producing as I thought he would have last year; looked pretty good to me; boards; D; tip-ins; hustle. Good stuff. But his back... it may keep him out indefinitely. :( And we could really use what he brings right now too. It's a shame.
