The following were guests on the Capitol Public Radio show to discuss this week's NBA BOG meeting.
Jeremiah Jackson of Think Big Sacramento
Tony Bizjak of Sacramento Bee
Scott Howard Cooper of NBA.com
Isaac Gonzalez of ranSACkedmedia
"The NBA really supports this project...just being out in Orlando as we were negotiating the deal and talking to different, other owners in the NBA who were out there...I think there's a strong sense among the owners that this is something that the Sacramento market shouldn't be given away or shouldn't be forsaken themselves...I do think there's going to be a lot of momentum towards either getting the Maloofs to make good on the term sheet and pre-development or looking what the other options are." - Jeremiah Jackson of Think Big Sacramento (5:14)
Tony Bizjak also mentioned that the NBA told him last week the NBA does not have a clause in their by-laws in which they can force the Maloofs to sell much like MLB has when they did that with the LA Dodgers. He mentioned it will be interesting to find out what kind of leverage David Stern and the NBA will have on the Maloofs. (13:45)
