Play-In Round 2022

DISCLAIMER: I don't root for the Kings anymore, but I will always root against the god damned lakers.

I will always root for LeBron James, but him having to sit home, watching the kids he ran out of town to get AD all make it to the playoffs would be a particularly tasty type of Schadenfreude.

To be fair, the only guy left on the Pels who was traded for AD is BI. (The same cannot be said of the Lakers draft picks for the next half decade)

Not sure why Lue didn't have his guys foul there but hey that's why he's getting paid the big bucks and I'm not.

They switched up their strategy half-time going small ball until the Pels made their adjustment with Nance eating rebound, Ty didn't have an answer after that.

I don't really have an issue with the Clippers going small when they're as good at switching as they are. It's the complete and total lack of strategy on the last couple of possessions that got me. Down 2 with 17 seconds left and no time outs against a team that just airmailed two FTs, there was absolutely no reason the Clippers should have played that possession straight, let alone aggressively double team off of the big man sitting under the hoop.

Is it fair to point out how reserved the Pelicans were about making the eighth seed, compared to the Timberwolves popping metaphorical champagne bottles, over getting the seventh seed?

I'd imagine a lot of it has to do with being on the road. Also, only one of those teams has PatBev.
