Peja's Lower Back

I was listening to Nape and Lamb yesterday and Napear mentioned that he talked to Peja on the Plane to Atlanta. Nape said that Peja told him thwe hes been bothered by lower back soreness of late. Nape thought that this would explain why Peja didnt play well against Toronto.

Sounds like Pedja should take a night or two off. Let Barnes start and rest that back. not like he did much good last game.

Not a bad idea. Not trying to put down Hawks and Hornets, but I don't think we would suffer greatly if Peja missed tonights and tomorrows game.

I wonder if we can get away with having Webber play one of these games, and Peja the other? Or in assuming New Orleans is so sad that we can rest both of them for that one. Don't want to drop any more chippees on this roadtrip though.

I hear you there. But Webber was very clear that his knee felt fine in Toronto... just copped to not having the stroke that night. I say Start Barnes for Pedja tonight and play tby ear from there. I honestly am developing serious confidence in the bench who I have affectionatly dubed "The Other Guys" or TOG.

Play them both unless there is a REAL and definite reason not to. We do not want to lose to the Hawks. Tomorrow night, see what happens.

It is interesting that people think a second game of back to backs, on the road is an automatic win just because the opponent is New Orleans. The Kings are perfectly capable of losing to To the Hornets. Just ask the Warriors.

Not a lot of people actually, kg... Most of us learned a LONG time ago not to look past ANY opponent.

;)

new orleans will also be on the 2nd night of a back-to-back tomorrow (they will be playing tonight).. the kings will be in a 4th game in 5 nights situation, though.. but nonetheless, we should beat NO, with or without peja or webb, IMO..

It's those games that are actually the most dangerous for the better team, IMHO. The Hornets are at home and they don't have anything to lose. They'll be loose and could make things tough for the Kings, if the Kings don't set the pace right away, keep the game under control at all times, and not let complacency over playing a bottom-feeder lull them into a false sense of security.

This is the type of game where I would LOVE to see the Kings take the lead, extend the lead and then put their feet on the throats of the Hornets and never let up. At some point, the killer instinct has to start coming out. I would love to see it in New Orleans.

GO KINGS!!!

Peja seemed ok during the game but when he got out of his chair after breaks tonight he was very slow and ginger when striaghtening out. Looks like it just tightens up on him a bit when sitting. Nothing a few days in your own bed and some heat won't heel.
