Paperwork sent for Patterson / Smith Trade

From what I've seen of JR, if he's pouting you just send him to his room and don't lose an ounce of sleep over it.

The Nuggets desperately need a shooter, have for a while. But lest we as Kings fans forget so quickly, the very thing that made Bonzi/Ron so tough for us down the stretch is that we had two big strong post up threats, and basically no team had an answer for both at once. Bonzi may not be ideal for the Nuggets, but I'd cheerfully stake my claim with a Bonzi/Melo talented battering ram duo before I'd just go pick up a lesser player who was just a shooter.

Except they literally have no shooters! The only reason I think a Ron/Bonzi pairing had any hope of working was because we had the best shooting C and one of the best shooting PG's to spread the floor.

They had no shooters last year either, and still finished with the same record we did despite crippling injuries. Figure if they any health at all up front they still win clsoe to 50 even without a single shooter or single quality OG.

Ideally, they go get Ray Allen or whatever. But if not, adding a high quality smash mouth OG is still a major step up from the random crap they've had at that position for years.

Only because we didn't get Artest until the 2006 part of the season.

No doubt Bonzi's a step-up at SG from DeMarr Johnson/Buckner/Lenard, but Bonzi still won't solve their huge and long-time need of long-range shooting, or really compliment their offense. That was best shown most recently in their horrible playoff series vs. the Clippers. Also potentially creates a problem and iffy situation with JR Smith, similar to like with the Hornets, I think.

Nene - a 6-year 60 million dollar contracted, 23 year-old, needing good minutes to play and develop, third big man? No way.

I'd be really surprised if Nene comes off the bench for most of the season.

KVH would still fit in Denver, he would slot in at SF behind Carmelo. He's much more of an SF anyways. He'd definitely be put over the young, unproven players with potential (Hodge/Diawara/Kleiza). In Kleiza's case, flashes. As far as I know, Denver aren't a rebuilding or young-intented team.

Evans, I agree. Unless Kenyon Martin's moved and Joe Smith will be a third PF, Evans will be off to Minny or Cleveland.

nene will start off the bench im sure. hes not even 100% yet.

re; bonzi. if its a one year deal for like 3 mill, the risk is low and id be ok with that. but other than that, hes just a bad fit. we need SHOOTERS.

re; evans. hes not going to minny (they can only offer a couple mill at most). he might still end up in denver as we are still interested in signing him and he wants to return. cavs i could see though.

Well, that's why I said for most of the season with Nene.

Agreed the Nuggs need shooters.

It's not a definite or fact Evans is not going to Minnesota, since that hasn't been reported. But, as it being one of the possible destinations, he'd have a better oppurtunity to play in Minny with less guys to cater to in the front-court. As Evans would be the back-up PF, Griffin backs up C and PF. Where as in Denver, there's basically an apartment floor full of big men, at PF specifically 3 of them already who are good-minute guys.

Aside from the LLE, a S/T is a possibility as well. Nuggs could use Hudson's proven outside shooting, and is clutch. Wolves need another banger/rebounder to help KG.
