J-WILL55
G-League
Not trying to rip off the NFL slogan...but its how I am feeling right now....
With a star being born in Tyreke Evans and this team playing the way that is has this season - the ever exciting fun brand of basketball - it has really got me thinking.....What was I thinking?
Let me explain. I am the biggest Jason Williams fan not named Denika or Jaxon Chandler Williams....During his time in Sacramento I was from the ages of 11-13, and although he is still my all-time favorite player to this day, I have so many regrets over my fanhood of him. I feel as if I took that time that he was here for granted. So with every chance I get, I watch his games on TV or attend a Kings game in which he will be playing opposite my beloved team.
When he retired last year, it crushed me. I thought I'd forever hate myself for taking his time in the league for granted.
Right now, I am trying to prevent another catastrophe like that from happening with Tyreke Evans, and even Omri Caspi....I feel those two are the cornerstones of this new Kings' movement....Evans is already being mentioned among the NBA elite, and he isn't even 30 games into his career that could last for the next 15-18 years given his young age. With Caspi, I am simply falling in love with his game. He is one of the best 3-point shooters ALREADY, and has a swagger/intensity that is contagious.
Simply put....These kids are good.
I have watched every game this season and will continue to do so, given the appropriate circumstances. I was at the Wizards' game last night, and seeing Evans make perhaps the play of the year will be something I will never forget. With Caspi, I've been admiring his play since the start as well, but seeing him in person really makes me appreciate his game that much more. Watching these two develop thus has been a privilege, and I just don't want to take this time for granted.
Tyreke is already my favorite King on this current squad, and call me weird but he's already reaching an all-time level of fanhood with me....I just know that he is going to be one of the greats, so every night a game is on, I feel like a kid again. Whenever J-Will was playing for us, I was watching. I'm going to do the same with Tyreke and Omri, and continue to feel the excitement I did when I was a kid when Jason was here.
Can you tell I'm excited? Sorry for babbling, but I just can't stop thinking about this team and what is to come.
Don't take this for granted, everyone. Own the moment.
