Our Roster as of now...

OvechKiN

G-League
Bibby / Douby
(Bonzi) / Martin
Artest / Garcia
SAR / KT / Corliss
Miller / Potopenko

Honestly, I am not a big fan of Garcia as Martin and maybe even Douby IMO are already more valuable than him.
If we can sign Justin Williams, that would be great.
Trade KT + Corliss + Garcia + future 1st
for:
a BiG like...... Jermaine O'Neal

then:

Bibby / Douby
Bonzi / Martin
Artest
O'Neal / SAR
Miller /Potopenko

I think it looks good, not sure if Indiana would do it, but any big is good for me, even Kenyon Martin

It's not going to happen. Why would Indiana do that?

Sorry, but these fantasy video-type trades ONLY work in fantasy land. The Pacers could get some tremendous players for Jermaine, IF they decided to trade him, and that's not something they're likely to do.

^^Darn, because otherwise I'm so sure Indiana would jump all over that deal.

:p

i am curious why you left off hart, price, and Amundson
had the same question, but wasn't Amundson just given a contract coditional on him making the team?

Love the trade, but it isn't going to happen, I like the idea of trading Corliss and Kenny and maybe someone else for a starting PF type, but we don't need it to be a JO type player, just a tough, nasty role player. IMO

^ okay I disagree there allrighty...

We are not even gonna sniff a ring until we get us a real #1 go to guy. Artest is a #2 allstar supporting cast that you need... so who is our #1 right now?

No ring or contention until that happens lets clear that up now. I just cannot let the homers say, we are only one player away. Ya in what world... If we are one player away its one superstar, no questions asked.

The title and NBA is all about superstars. Detriot was the only exception in our lifetime.

hey maybe we will sign karl malone to a one year midlevel , trade him for a #1 pick, sign spree to a midlevel, trade him for a #1, sign <random free agent>, trade him for a #1 pick, then trade KT, Corliss, and 3 #1 picks for Lebron
omgs championship.

cmon these trade scenarios are friggin dumb

Good points all around. I would love another allstar as much as the next guy. I, however, think that Artest is a #1 allstar/talent in the NBA. I think that Bibby/Miller/Bonzi(hopefully) with that nasty PF I was referring to earlier just might be enough to put us back into title contention. I've been wrong before so who knows. I guess my biggest reason for believing this way is that I really don't think we get another big star, but getting that PF I'm hoping for might just be possible. We'll see I guess.

GO Kings.

Indiana wouldn't touch that deal with a ten foot pole, and neither would Sacramento. It's one of those trades that makes both teams worse. For one, it's a massive talent dump for Indiana. They are not trading an MVP candidate Power Forward for a tweener PF, A guy who couldn't crack our rotation, and an unproven, unheralded young guy. This is bad for us because Ron and Jermaine aren't exactly best buds. While I think Ron's instability is greatly overstated, paring him with a former team mate who is likely very bitter over what happened to the Pacers is not a good idea.

You're too dismissive, chap. It's also July 10th. You think like that, why even follow the team or watch them this season? Just wait until May or something. :p

Need to add defense to the front-court, most definitely. Which I fully expect by October.

We haven't been able to see Ron the last two years play near a full season for obvious reasons... he looked awesome to start off 2004. Similar for the start of 2005 (longer obviously).

He worked on his jumper last summer, said it felt good, and it looked good in Indy. But obviously the 1 month and a half off hindered his game shape, just practicing at gyms around the country, and still played well and on a high level for us. He's working on his game again this summer.

Anyway, I think he's an excellent player, and can very possibly be that guy. But obviously needs help, lol.

K113 I hope I don't take your post the wrong way so I will temper my comments.

As a FAN, my opinion in supporting any team has always been that the team is commited to winning. With that I realize that things change and there will be ups and downs especially in ownership. Being a fan of the Kings since the Kings have been in Sacramento my only goal / wish is to see our team win it all. There would be no greater feeling as a fan then to be at the Parade down L street.

My statement was directed towards the comments made that we are only a player away. I keep reading this in the forum and it gets under my skin everytime. We are 1 superstar away, we are not 1 role player away and that is what was implied.

I will entertain the Artest could "COULD" be that superstar #1 player but I have my doubts. My doubts are more about his offensive game of course. I just don't see him taking over a game like lets say a Kobe, Lebron or whatever at the end. He will defensively but not offensively.

I was just stating a fact, until we get that true superstar we will not see a ring. Just commenting on a coment made. Not saying I don't enjoy the ride and heartbreak every year :)
