If you were watching the 11 p.m. news last night, you may have noticed the piece about the arena talks to be held today in Las Vegas.
I'm proud to say Save Our Kings was contacted and asked to have a spokesperson willing to go on camera discuss what they felt about this latest attempt to get all sides to come together to get the arena done.
Kingsgurl was contacted - luckily on her day off - and was generous enough to go to Arco and be interviewed by Leticia Ordaz for Ch. 3.
Kingsgurl - suffering from a really bad head cold - was still able to represent SOK admirably. They showed her and her daughter. They showed her shoulder (which sports a Kings emblem tattoo) as evidence of just how rabid a fan she really is. They showed KG and her daughter saying, "We love our Kings!" When asked why Sacramento should have a new arena, she mentioned that "Sacramento isn't a cow town any more" and "Sacramento and the Kings share an identity" and "A new arena isn't just for the Kings. It's about the whole Sacramento region."
And they said "long-time Kings fan Tina V. is part of a grass-roots organization, Save Our Kings!"
Thanks to KG and her daughter for taking the time out of their day to go to Arco and speak out for all of us who want to see this project get done!
Today is KG's birthday but, IMHO, she gave all of us a nice gift yesterday by representing us very well.
