Optimism Thread

There will be a Game 6!!

Sacramento will win both games at home behind a strong defensive effort from Artest, pure hustle from SAR, excellent role play from KT, and low post scoring from Bonzi.

THIS THING IS NOT OVER!! Remember, a playoff series doesn't start until the home team loses a game.

I just want to see that inspired play from tonight on friday. If they play with the energy they did tonight. I would say a game 5 isn't too far fetched, if at all.

GO KINGS!!!

I think you mean game 6. Game 5 is a given if Kings take care of homecourt.

I was just making a statement that we are going back to San Antonio. However, you're right, if they win two at home, there will be a game 6.

It ain't over just yet. We protect homecourt... then it's a whole new ballgame. This is the optimism thread.

playoffs are over guys. Sorry i know it hurts... :(

No, they are not over. Like has been said....you don't lose until you lose at home. I know SA has the home court advantage and this was our game to win, but we are not out of it. We need to win our homes games and get the momentum going into SA with Artest and our other guys playing their hearts out like Bonzi, KMart, and SAR did tonight. We really scared SA to think we should have beaten them without Artest and Bibby and Miller not playing good at all. Man SA is deep, those 3 balls really hurt us tonight....I mean come on. With even a little less we would have opened up a 15 or more point lead in the 1st 1/2.

we played a very competative game, and nearly won without 3 of our top guns: ron ( suspended) mike and brad ( MIA for the most part)

huge games out of playoff rookies SAR and martin. bonzi was also HUGE.

The Kings will win the next 4 games in a row. Mark my words. The Spurs are getting in their comfort zone....bad mistake.

DONT FORGET, THE LA FAKERS HAD WON 4 IN A ROW AGAINST THE DEFENDING CHAMPS, IT CAN AND WILL BE DONE AGAIN.

It's hard to be down on the guys. They played their tails off tonight. Demoralizing game... absolutely. Gone fishing.... not on your life.

Honestly, I had no belief that Sacramento would be anywhere close to being in this game. I now have a lot of optimism that the Kings will hold serve at Arco.

After that, it becomes a three game series. That's what I'm hoping for.

the kings had the victory in their reach TONIGHT. I bet they could smell it. Even though we should be going back to Arco tied 1-1, I think if we can win both at home with Ron then we can at least make a series of this. They were beat tonight, I cant believe we let this win get away. go sac!

I still have hope...

the first 2 games were games the Spurs HAD to win.

protecting home court is the object of winning in the playoffs.

If our Kings respond and win at our home court, then we're back in the game.

i havent lost hope yet.

nope... not yet.

not after what i saw last night.
and with artest back, trying to fulfill his prediction of making it past the first round. he's going to work his butt off. Imagine if Miller goes off at home, imagine how much damage that would cause?? with Artest back with the defense, we can actually stop that last second 3 pointer.

i can see this thing very possibly going to a game seven

yeah yeah, the protected their home court, but i wouldve rather went to sacramento 1-1 not 0-2. WE HAD A CHANCE TO SPLIT IN SAN ANTONIO. that loss last night was pathetic. mike bibby making rookie mistakes over and over.

Go Kings- I believe. Phenomenal effort last night. I haven't been that proud of a Kings team in a long time.

I think the Spurs think they took the Kings' best shot last night and still pulled it out. The SPurs are ripe to drop 1 or 2 in Sacramento. Come on Kings- pull it out!!!

if we drive on a V-8 we will kick the Spurs out of ARCO

bibby, bonzi, artest, kenny, miller, shareef, garcia, martin

Honestly, I would rather Miller play limited minutes. His defense in the paint was so pathetic last night. Parker was driving in like there was nobody there.

lenny kravitz' 'it aint over till its over' lyrics come to mind.. i say we take this thing as long as we can, give em hell. make them work, show we wont lay down without a fight. i had some time to cool down now and am thinking rationally, its fun to believe! GO KINGS!!

I got a question. Has there ever been an 8th seed team trailing 0-2 in a series and ending up beating the 1st seed?

^^This is the optimism thread. An answer to that question would be pretty much the antithesis of optimism.
