Game time is 7 p.m.

Hopefully, the Monarchs will once again sellout their home opener. I have 20 seats already on hold for a group at group rates.

The seats are located in Sec 112 in Rows P and Q. I have promised seats to VF21 and to kennadog. Does anyone else want one before they are sold to people at my work?

I will edit this as soon as I know exactly how much the tickets are. They are around $22.

btw - the game is against the Los Angeles Sparks.

Edit: I was correct on the ticket price for our row. It is $22 per ticket.

I believe these group tickets will only be $16. Expecting confirmation of that tomorrow.

No, the ticket prices are $22.

June 2nd? In previous years didnt the season start in early May?
The June 2nd game (vs. the L.A. Sparks) is the Monarchs home opener, but will be the Monarchs' fifth overall game in the regular season thus far.

The Monarchs start the 2007 regular season with a 4-game road trip: May 19 at Detroit, May 20 at Minnesota, May 22 at Washington, and May 29 at Phoenix. What a way to start the new season! But I remember the Monarchs started off the 2005 season with a long road trip as well.

"Early May"? Isn't that when teams start playing pre-season games?

IIRC, the WNBA regular season in 2006 had a compacted schedule, because the WNBA had to accomodate the scheduling of the international basketball championships in Brazil last Fall. I expect next year will be that way too, because of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

I realized my mistake. I've been so used to it being the start of the Monarchs season as the Kings were coming to an end the last 8 years.

Who still wants tickets at $22.00 each for this opening game?

As usual, they are looking for a sell-out. I believe they have accomplished that the past 4 (or so) years.

MBF, what did your group decide? Do, I need to get some of these for you?
