Nuggets Pursue Van Horn

Jul 21 - The Rocky Mountain News reports the Denver Nuggets are pursuing Dallas free agent Keith Van Horn.

i am mixed on why they are going after Van Horn. I would look elsewhere, but he is a solid pickup.

One reason - jumpshooting. Denver has no proven/consistent/good outside shooters, not since Voshon Lenard in 03-04. Buckner could shoot decently, but not quality. KVH would be good for their bench.

No idea why they didn't take Mobley in 2005.

I guess they're not asking for Kenyon's opinion of Van Horn. He basically blamed Van Horn for their Finals loss to the Lakers. If I remember correctly, Van Horn was traded that off season. Martin went on to choke against Duncan the following year.

I'd love to see that signing, just to see what happens if both players end up being teammates again.
