Nuggets vs. Spurs - game 4

87 - 80 after the end of the third quarter.

Start of the 4th. Duncan jumping up against Earl Boykins. I wish I could watch this...Nuggets stole the tip.

Nuggets just can't seem to get over the hump against the Spurs...they can keep games close, but just can't seem to stop all of the Spurs.

Boykins leading the charge, though, with 24 points to this point. KMart again not showing up on offense (what a waste of money that guy was for the Nuggets), Melo having another relatively poor shooting game, but at least getting to the line.

Hey, Big Dog with a 3 in the 4th. Spurs up 90-84. Duncan woke up this game, has 27 and 9 to this point. Spurs will win this series in 5, imho.

Andre Miller hits the runner to make the game 94-93 Spurs. San Antonio hasn't hit a field goal in the last 4:00 of game time...

I'd love to see a repeat of Game 1 where the Nuggets just lock down the Spurs to get the win, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to happen. Just doesn't seem like the Nuggets usually make the plays in this series. I'd love for them to prove me wrong...

Manu with a blocking foul against Miller...Miller heads to the line for two and a chance to take the lead.

Miller makes both, and the Nuggets lead 95 - 94.

Wow. Parker blows by Boykins to get a layup, and then there is a loose ball foul at the same time on Nene at the same time sending Bowen to the line. Bowen hits the free throw tying the game at 97.

Nuggets then commit a turnover on the next possession, but Manu misses on the other end.

3 minutes left in the game, Boykins knocks down a shot for a 99-97 Nuggets lead. Boykins with 26.

Whoa, whoa, officials take 3 pointer back saying Boykins was out of bounds. Wait, wait, Spurs announcer was confused, Boykins gets a 2, Duncan gets a 2, and Melo gets a 2. 103-101 Nuggets.

Martin just fouls out on a Duncan isolation, meaning Nene has to come back into the game. Duncan to the line for two (he's 11 for 12 tonight from the line).

Duncan makes both free throws, now has 37 points in the game. 103-103.

Camby misses a jumper on the next possession. 1:15 left in the game. Manu abuses Miller on an isolation to take the lead 105-103.

Spurs are in a zone right now, by the way.

Melo answers with a jumper. 105-105 with 46 seconds.

Parker hits a jumper with 27 seconds off of a Manu pass. 107-105 Spurs with 27 seconds left. Timeout Nuggets.

It will be interesting to see where the Nuggets go here. Melo has shot the ball well in this 4th quarter, and Boykins has been shooting well.

Melo misses a post up move on Horry, but Duncan gets called for a foul on the drive (after the shot falls out, it seems), so Melo to the line to try to tie the game.

Melo makes the first, makes the second. 14 seconds left. 107-107. I like the Spurs play-by-play radio guy, btw. Seems that all the terrible Spurs homers are working for national t.v. (read: Kerr).

Aside: evilmav, Mark Fallawell might be one of more annoying play-by-play guys in the NBA on radio. It's almost as if he's Humble Billy Hayes younger brother.

Edit: grammar

Game going to OT after solid defense by Nuggets on the last play. Gotta give the Nuggets props for making the comeback and tying the game. And, unlike another team that has played a playoff game today and tried to make a 4th quarter comeback, the Nuggets made their free throws when it counted.

Hahaha... I completely agree, 4cwebb.

ANOTHER suspect call by NBA officials. They took the three away from Boykins when they replayed it looked like it was a 3. They shouldn't even be playing overtime right now.. Denver should have won in regulation by one point.

Officials make up for the offensive foul call on Duncan by calling an offensive foul on Miller (on a push off to get free), who now also has 5 fouls.

Duncan scores first, 109-107 Spurs. Duncan with 39.

Nuggets unable to answer as Melo misses on a post up.

Parker scores on a breakout, 111-107 Spurs.

LOL. Another referee fueled run! NBA officiating is such a joke, anybody else see Bowen just shove Melo with both hands in the back right in front of the ref? The anouncers are even worse... I feel like I'm watching wrestling.

Duncan gone, but with a 6 point lead, I'm not optimistic. Foul apparently a phantom call according to Spurs' announcer.

WTH hell is that? Ok I take it back this is no conspiracy, it's just plain awful referees. How do you foul out Duncan on that call?

Melo breaks the drought, 113 - 109. 2:30 left in OT.

Parker posts up Boykins and earns two free throws after foul by Nene.
