We've been sold on cap space and free agenda signings for. 5 years. Yet our big fa signing was chuck Hayes and an extended Thornton. FA aren't coming people and we obviously aren't making trades. Aka LA. The only other way is through draft and by the time the kid is developed they leave .

Cousins, Tyreke, Marcus and any future picks that get good will all need to be paid in the future. There's no move right now that could really make us a ton better, so its wise to play it safe and hope to hit it big in this year's draft. Once we know what the core looks like, we can add pieces around it. Right now we have good pieces but no true core.

marcus just got paid, so it's about retaining cousins most importantly and seeing if tyreke makes any improvements

Which at the moment would have looked bad and people really would have been calling for Petries head. The team is young and still doesn't really have a true direction in terms of play style. Not the time to be handing out money like it's candy.
