NFL 2024-2025 Thread

Aaaaand now Tua’s concussion history comes back into play. The way he started convulsing and seizing up was scary.

That Tua extension has a chance to be the worst contract in football history (non-Watson edition) depending on whether he has enough brain cells left to do the smart thing and hang his cleats up and walk away while he still can.

I can understand why it might be particularly hard for any 49ers player to admit that they need to be placed on injury reserve when they literally have a teammate who was shot in the chest and came back a week later eager to play again. But we need CMC more in the playoffs than we need him in Weeks 1-4 so resting up and coming back pain-free is the sensible way to go. I suppose any time you take the field in the NFL a season-ending injury is a possibility but it's a lot harder to accept them when they come if there's also a "we should have known better" clause appended to the end.

With all due respect to Patrick Willis, Fred Warner is the best linebacker in Niners franchise history.

‪Darnold saw the universal praise the 97 yard TD was getting him and said “No thanks.”‬ and threw a ball directly to where the best linebacker in the league was standing.

10 AM start halfway across the country after a Monday night game at the very start of the season. Never want to call anything a schedule loss because the Niners absolutely gave this game away but it’s very much something you could consider a schedule loss.
