They should put Brock in and just run until his arm doesn't hurt because this Johnson guy can't even get a snap off.

Defense is playing great. Too bad they were failed by an oblivious coach

won’t let it go. It’s on pace to be the difference

I think you got it wrong, Shanahan had no indication of a missed reception, and Hugingfa gave only a half-hearted reaction....(he wasn't sure). This is on officiating and camera crew - especially officiating. Now Shanahan is not calling a good game on offense, but that's separate.

yeah, I’m sure their receiver was just blatantly rushing and rallying his team for a rushed play on first down in the first quarter to bait Kyle into wasting a crucial 1st quarter timeout and not because he knew he didn’t make the catch.

Kyle knows a ruse when he sees it and didn’t fall for it.

it's just the nature of the game that you don't call for a review without someone even getting a preview and the tv/stadium/everyone else didn't put up the conclusive replay until it was too late. It would have been a hell of a gamble five minutes into the game.

Probably worth it given it was also a 4th down play, but getting baited into calling a replay without a modicum of evidence in the championship game would also be a colossal coaching F up.

I think the most frustrating thing is the amount of clear catches that get called back every year and then that. it's a bitter one to swallow for sure.

OK, so let's imagine the incredible happens and the Niners defense holds and somehow they get out of Philly with a win. Also let's imagine Purdy is hurt, and Jimmy G isn't ready to return. Could the Niners technically sign a QB whose season is over and who doesn't have a contract for next year?

KAPERNICK!

these penalties would be less bad if they at least got their money's worth instead of some lame 5 yard but automatic first call.

seems like something that should’ve been considered when Brock Purdy was the only playable QB you had left and we didn’t even know at that point if Purdy was going to be good beyond that Dolphins game. They signed freakin Johnson and called it a day when serviceable vets were available. Like the idea of losing yet another QB was out of the question. Oh well
