NFL’s Sacramento Kings?
With the NFL season coming to its climatic finish in the annual Super Bowl, Kings TV recently decided to find out if members of the Sacramento Kings thought they could put together a football team made up solely of their teammates. From running backs to wide receivers to defensive line-up, each guy had a pretty good idea of how they would put a football team together. The one consistent answer we heard? Each player questioned thought they should be the quarterback...

“I’m definitely going with myself at quarterback, because I’m athletic and I think I can do a lot of Mike Vick-type things, like jump, run, and make a few things happen.”
“Brad would definitely be my center. I’d have him play both sides of the ball-he’d be my Urlacher type, real gritty.”
“Ostertag is definitely an O-lineman. He reminds me of one of those Nebraska-type players that moves everyone out of the way and creates some big holes for Mike.”
“Peja is definitely the kicker/punter for us. He played that European football/soccer when he was smaller. I’ve seen him at some shootarounds kick the ball into the stands.”
“With that team, I think we can contend for a championship.”

“I’ve barely played in high school, it wasn’t even flag football, it was like touch. I have no idea about formations, so I wouldn’t know what position I would play. I just know that you just got to hit somebody real hard. Lithuania and all of Europe is soccer country, so when I got here I started watching the college games and I started learning a little bit. It’s a tough game and there is a reason those guys wear all that padding.”
“Greg could be like a linebacker, he just so huge.”
