Clippers, Dallas, San Antonio, Orlando, Phoenix.

Mavs and Spurs back to back then a few days later Orlando and Phoenix back to back.

And here's some more food for thought: All five of those teams have dominant bigs on them. Dirks been leading his team through 9 strait wins, Duncan had a season high in points along with his 14 boards the last time he played us, and I'm sure SAR is having Dwight Howard nightmares already.

...And then theres also Amare and Brand.

SooooOOOooo....Predictions? I'm gonna go with an optimistic 2-3

Realistically speaking, 2-3 is best case scenario. I can't see us winning in Dallas or San Antonio but we should be able to beat the Clips at home. Here's to hoping we can split against orlando or phoenix.

Yeah, this next streak is nasty. Miami soon therafter too with Shaq maybe back. Luckily we own the Clips, or at least Rick used to, and they haven;t been a good road team thus far. So maybe we can call that one a W and only have to squeak one more out of the other games in order to still be .500 and standing after its down. Orlando might be better than us, but they're not unbeatable. And we'll have to see about the Suns -- they are coming back on line now, but their defense has been atrocious early too.

I'll be even more optomistic and say we go 3-2. Phoenix is playing better, but the last couple years, we've beaten them badly early in the season. We're getting back to health and hopefully have some confidence building. With this team though, it also wouldn't suprise me to beat dallas or san antonio and lose to the clips.

While I would expect a 2-3 (Lose on Mavs and Spurs home court and probably in Phoenix on their court on the 2nd night of a back to back), it is possible to get a 3-2. My guess is that it will be easier for us to luck into a win in Texas than in Phoenix though.

Orlando have one glaring weakness - turnovers. With new gambling style of Kings Magic may have team season high in turnovers. Of course they may as well have season high in FG% with this defensive tactic.

I see wins vs. ORL and LAC in this stretch. SAC will be rated 1653 (after win vs POR) going into the LAC game - I fiddled around with the ratings and If we do go 2-3 beating ORL and LAC, we should stay around the 1640-1650 range. If SAC goes 3-2, they are looking to be rated in the 1670 area.

Make or break time these next 5 games. We do poorly and we are in for a long season....3-2 is a bit optimistic so ill say 2-3. Id love to steal one somewhere in Texas...

2-3 would be a reasonable expectation although Orlando is not a gimme. Everybody has been beating the Suns, and the Clippers are struggling, and getting out of the map.

Be no Kaman for the Clips, maybe Cassel as well. But especially no big guy for them makes a big difference for us. Combined with the slow start for Brand, its possible we don't get whipped inside, and oour odds of winning that one go up even further.

Any news about whether or not Sam is playing tomorrow (he just sprained his ankle)?

Without the fetus beating the Clips SHOULD be like shooting fish in a barrel...They dont have Kaman either.

I Say We're Goin To Go 3-2, Beatin Clips/Magic/Dallas
I'm hoping for that, but 4-1 and even better yet 5-0 would sure be awesome. I think I'm on Ron's pills saying we'll win all 5! :D

You just have to love the schedule makers for trying to build in some close to sure losses for the Kings! How many teams can go through Dallas and SA back to back and come up with 2 wins, even Houston is hard with their lineup, man those Texas teams sure are stacked!

The key is to hitting those tough teams when they don't quite have their legs under them, as in the beginning of the season when they might not be in sync, and/or when they are banged up. I'm all for winning at Miami minus big Shaq, also for Miller to get back in game shape again and Bibby and Artest to heal up and be close to 100%, Kmart too. We can be pretty good when we are healthy and in sync, I like how KMart is playing like a Allstar and Salmons has a calming effect and is very unselfish and distributes well.

I say 3-2.. when I'm sort of leaning on 2-3... since the spurs already beat us in Sac, I feel like we're less likely to win in SA.. I don't know about Dallas either, but nothings ever for sure! I hope we can at least win 3, all I'm asking for... if we can win more than that, sure why not..

so far we're 1-0

Well yes, but this was the gimme. ;)

Actually an important gimme -- if we had lost this one it could have opened doors to all sorts of mischief. All of a sudden you are 7-6, head down to Texas, could very easily become 7-8 and have to head back up to run into the best team in the East to avoid going 7-9 wiht a foiur game losing streak, the pressure mounts, etc.

With this one we at least have a reasonable hope of sneaking another one out somewhere in here and walking away from the streak at 9-8 and still breathing.

Yup, good we have Brad back as well as the rest of the team healthy, or at least playing. Hopefully Ron's back holds up! He sure put on a great preformance last night and made up for KMart's lack of performance. I thought KMart would come back down to earth and hope he rebounds from this.

We just have to take every game one at a time, the schedule is sure stacked against us, gotta love the schedule makers and them building in loses like a back to back Texas 2 step!

we just have to play impressive defense against dallas. i would concentrate more on stopping their guards and limiting their rebounds. they are a great rebounding team and we MUST get on the boards. ron artest will be the best defender on the court in pretty much all 82 games. from what i hear about salmons we should be able to do a great job on their guards. houston is one of those teams that'll stick around and bite you in the end. we must jump on them early and feed the hot hand. san antonio is just impossible to beat. we have to play 100% perfect to beat them. which we wont. i think we can leave texas 2-1. i wont be satisfied with 0-3 or 1-2

We are playing Dallas and SA, two great teams that are both clicking right now, in their homes, back-to-back. I will be happy if we just compete. If we go 0-2 and play well then I will be satisfied.

i wont. we had enough time to get warmed up against these scrubs. we are at an impressive 8-5. should be 9-4 if we didnt pull that choke job against utah. we'll be fresh and rested. should be a win on friday. hope we're not too fresh.
