New Tech Fine Structure

Thanks for the info!

What I'd like to see now is a clear statement from the league office on what exactly constitutes a violation worthy of a technical...

Of course, I'd also like to see Tim Duncan get called for his pouty face or glares at the officials.

;)

Isn't it obvious?

Rookies: First negative word/curse at official...In game or otherwise.

Other Non-Superstar Players: Complaining during live play.

Superstars: Only called for physical confrontations with players or otherwise...Turn the other cheek when they try to argue with the ref.

Rasheed Wallace: T'd for everything.

:D

Amen! He has never comitted a foul and he is fouled constantly by the other team. His every shot should be an And-1.

Cough up the dough
Here's the NBA's new fine scheme for technical fouls:
The first five technicals fouls each are worth a $1,000 fine.
Technicals Nos. 6-10 each carry a $1,500 fine.
Technicals Nos. 11-15 each come with a $2,000 fine.
Technicals No. 16 and beyond each are worth $2,500, plus a one-game suspension.

does this mean that you get suspended when you get your 16th T, and then suspended again every time you get one after that??

that's kinda harsh.

i wonder how many suspensions sheed's gonna have this year.. oh boy...
