I think the system that is supposed to add new contributors to a special group (giving you a little badge under your name and a few other little perks) is broken.
If you've become a contributing member in the past month or so and you don't see the little "Contributor" badge under your username, PLEASE send me a PM or email and include your forum username and email or username used to make the contribution and I'll get this fixed right away.
I'll leave this post stickied until the problem is fixed so if you contribute in the future please send me a PM right after to let me know so I can match up your contribution with your username and make sure you get upgraded.
