They were given their own nightly radio show on ESPN, just prior to Grantland going to hell.

Didn't really talk about Karl much. Said they are good, but repeated he doesn't have to like the man to win basketball with him. Sorta weird to keep saying that at this point. A lot more of the same from him. He cares about winning. He cares about people close to him and kids. Doesn't have A LOT of NBA friends. Said he grew up emulated Carmelo Anthony, which oddly makes sense. Cuz really doesn't like talking about himself. He very confident in who he is as a player. Said that sometime he does entire workouts with the guards to work on outside game. Thinks this team is really shooting for the 7th or 6th seed.

I think the main bullet point (as mentioned above) is that he tries to model his game after Melo.

I guess we can't put all the blame on Karl converting him into a giant SF after all!

I like that they brought up all his off court good deeds. We all know our guy is as much of a saint off the court as he's an a-hole on the court, but that might be news to non Kings fans.

My favorite part was when he talked about his relationship with Karl. I echoed those same sentiments before the season, you don't have to like each other so long as you both have the same goals and put egos aside and just go out there and win for the team.

great post. thanks for sharing. These guys are one of the few media outlets that give DMC a fair shake and support him.

Boogie doesnt care for all the noise, he just gets it done and does what it takes to win.

The main point for me is the team is pushing for consistency and looking to move beyond the 8th seed and that is their goal.

That's a good interview. I am always struck with off the court, not on the defensive, this is the real me, Boogie, as opposed to the "God I hate losing and why are you sticking that mic in my face to ask me about losing" again Boogie. I thought the answers in regards to Karl were telling and show growth. He really likes Vlade and you can hear the respect he has for him. He speaks of Vlade's leadership ability and how he is able to lead when things aren't going well. That is a gift few actually possess
