Although it's always difficult to predict exactly how the offseason will affect the upcoming NBA season, it seems clear that the Eastern Conference is going to be up for grabs. The Indiana Pacers won the conference last year in one of the most surprising championship runs in recent memory, but they are going to be without Tyrese Haliburton for the year. The Boston Celtics have always been a force in the Eastern Conference, but Jayson Tatum went down with an Achilles injury in the second round and will miss the upcoming season. The Bucks made a big move to add Myles Turner, but they had to cut Damian Lillard to do it.

I like Isaacs, but why the heck would we want to give up a better player and more durable for essentially some pick swap

Ah yes, the tried and true trade half the roster for a dude who’s always injured and Jett Howard and two pick swaps and a second rounder.

Also why the hell are the Hawks involved in this at all? (I feel like I ask this question at least twice a week)

We'd give up IJ too lol this is the stupidest thing I've ever read and normally mods try to delete these before y'all actually reply.

@Tetsujin the person proposing this is a Hawks reporter, that's why?

The best part is the Hawks being in this pretty huge trade for TD for a 2nd round pick (which, let's just do that, and cut out the rest of the noise)

Jonathon Isaac that plays 20 games (at best) a season? Come on lmao
Isaac played 71 games last season and 58 the season before. And the 58 was mostly all load management DNP’s to not push their luck after he missed about 3 years..not due to any new injuries.

So he’s been pretty healthy. Enough to where a team can feel comfortable with him being in that 15-20 minute range for a full season.

Problem is he had a pretty bad season where his FG percentage and 3pt percentage each dropped 10 points to where he became somewhat unplayable at times regardless of his defense. He’s maybe an $8 million a year backup, not a $15 million for the next 4 years that he just signed for.
