Nets' House has knee surgery; no timetable for return

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Nets guard Eddie House had arthroscopic knee surgery Monday, and the team said there is no timetable for his return.
Doctors removed torn cartilage from his left knee at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Rehab will begin immediately.
House, a six-year veteran, signed as a free agent Aug. 17. He averaged a career-high 9.8 points for Phoenix last season.
He has averaged 7.3 points in 378 career games.
A second-round pick of the Miami Heat in 2000, House has played for six teams during his career including Miami, the Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Sacramento and Phoenix.

Whew. I like Eddie and I wish him a rapid recovery, but I'm awfully glad he's not on our roster right now.
 
even if he was we would still have douby and price... thats if we had house instead of hart.... hope he heals quickly and gets to play, but the nets have williams who is killing it in preseason... i was kinda mad when we skipped on him and sergio in the draft.... but douby is a good shooter so i'll be okay...
 
Wishing a speedy recovery to Eddie. I kind of liked him. I'm with you, tho, VF. Somehow, I'm happy he's not on out rostEr right now. Around here, injuries seems contagious. ;)

Okay... I was talking about having to wait for someone to come back from knee surgery.

Pretty big blow to the Nets bench. Hopefully he isn't out for more than 2 months. He's going to fit in very well with them.

As he's already shown in his basketball time, Douby's going to be more than a shooter. While the former has just about all been in the NCAA, his stuff is NBA-level.

All House is really is a off-screen/spot-up shooter.
