I'm not following this part, do you not have USB? Tell me which ports you have and which cables you are attempting to use, ok?

Yes, ^^^ what Kingsgurl asked is important.... You need to make sure you are using USB cable with USB port.

And you did install the driver for your camera, right?
Another thing is this: sometimes not ALL of your USB ports actually work. Even thousg they are there, they are not alwasy enabled (I had this issue with one of the computers at work).

Yes, I have a USB port inside of my computer so i can plug the wires from the camera to it.

Well, I had the wire that came wit the camera. It didnt fit, so i got a a mini thing that fits that wire AND also fits the computer so i can fit it in. Any more info?

what are you trying to use it for?

Uploading just pictures...

If so, on where?

I have a SD reader for my Canon Rebel and Olympus Cams and for my lil PC cam i just hook it up to the USB port.

The cable that came with the camera didn't fit the port on your computer??? The cable should have a small side (for the camera) and a larger flat, regular USB connector on the other end that fits your computer. If you are using some sort of adapter (and I am lost as to WHY you would need to) then that is probably your problem
Does the port you are connecting to look like this?

and does the end of the cable you are trying to connect look like this?

The whole cable like this?

That's odd. You're sure that your computer doesn't have a USB port on in anywhere? The little rectangular slot somehwere on the back of the computer or hiding behind a flap on the front, with the following symbol (see image).

What kind of port are you plugging your camera into... do you know? You've really got me curious now.

^^ yes, thats the image.

Then you DO have a USB port (I'm assuming). That leaves be to believe that you have some funky cable thing going on.

Let's get back to Kingsgurl's references:

Traditionally, one end of the cable that connects between your camera and your cosputer will have a USB plug, as pictured above. The other end will have a smaller square-ish plug that fits into your camera (this part of the cable can vary from one camera to the next). Does this sound like what you're using? I'm trying to get an idea of where this adaptor you're using fits into the picture.

Edit: Is it just me, or are in-line images not working?
