Congrats on good game Chelle, you almost pulled it off. It was definitely much closer than anticipated. I am rooting for LSU tonight, after all the people of Louisiana have been through, they deserve this win. I saw a special segment on ESPN about the LSU team and many of them have also been through a lot since Katrina hit so I wish them well.

I'm liking the scenario JonBoy. I'm glad I could help (made you type it up for us, type up whatever ideas you may have had just inside your head). lol jk

But I like it.

& go Cal. 56-17 vs an okay team which has been underrated this year with a first time starter, backup rbs half the game, and a bunch of young wrs.

I'm liking the future, still.

+ wow....ND over Mich. Who would have expected THAT. Problem is, I now see ND winning another game and then dropping 3 or 4 in a row and getting laughed at. Again.

Texas over OhSt. dammit...

That texas/ohio state game was crazy.
I didn't have time to watch it, although I caught the last 2 minutes.....

I was praying for OhSt, even though I usually bash on them cause a friend of mine is a huge fan of theirs.

I am happy for us both, Loopy. The GA/SC game was good. I can never be completely bummed when Spurrier loses.

The best part of the night was LSU's win. For a few hours tonight, things felt "normal." It was tough and showed some weaknesses, but it was good!

LSU did win? good I'm happy for them. I heard about the ND victory, what is this, an upset a week? I heard the Texas game was good one, sorry I missed it. Darn, Florida won:mad: that always makes me mad but as long as Spurrier lost it's all good. It'll be interesting to see the new rankings. Seems like games were either very close or total blowout.

ND breaks into top 10 on the AP!!!

Michigan St is next on the list and its at home. They have played the first 2 on the road so it should be crazyness in South Bend.

Why will they be laughed at? They are one of the few teams that actually play a tough schedule all season. They don't toss in gimme games like all the other top teams that have soft schedules. This front half is the hardest part of the schedule. I still see them dropping 3 or so total. But the ECHO's have been awakened!

This is just a preview of things to come in the future. Weis has them playing really well and was the perfect fit.

Laughed at because they did so well against the best and then sucked going down the stretch...

Weren't the NFL Saints laughed at when they erratically did well?

Maybe its just me, but I'm deffinetly gonna laugh if they do as I said.

Anyways, preview of the future? Personaly I see it as more of a blast from the past. I don't see it lasting long.

I'm with BigWaxer. You're going to laugh at Notre Dame? No offense, but I'm thinking you're right on one account...

"Maybe its just me"

Is USC the best college football team ever? I mean their just constantly destroying everybody in their path. Carson palmer leaves and then there's the situation with mike williams which lead to some people thinking they could not keep up the pace, but then here comes leinart, bush, white, jarret, smith, and then they even got hershel dennis(many people forget about him, but I've watched him since his hs days at long beach poly and that rape allegation lost him his starting job). I mean, this team is just loaded beyond belief. I haven't even listed the defensive players they have.

Can anybody stop the trojans? ANYBODY?

^ not likely at this point unless they have a really bad day and even then it'll be difficult. This team could arguably be the best ever.
hoopsy-that's an incredible score! Sounds more like bball than football.

We (LSU) have a HOME game this Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not know how we are going to manage it- people vs space- yet, but I can't wait!! Forget counting the days, only 155 hours until kick-off!!!!!1

when matt and reggie leave, we'll still have j.d. booty, a top rated qb, and patrick turner.

^ great news chelle, good luck!
I guess we will have to wait a little longer.:(

It's ok.

1. We need the extra practice.
2. We will play again.
3. We still have Death Valley
4. We WILL play a HOME game at HOME this year - more than Tulane, Saints, or Hornets can say.
5. "The sun will come out again!"

May I reveal what I'd like to do before each weekend of college football...

Can You Do The Can-Can?

1. QB Matt Leinart and USC are traveling to Oregon to play the Ducks at Autzen, arguably the toughest place to play at in the country. Can Leinart, Bush and Co. hold off Oregon's swarming defense while be screamed at by crazy Duck fans. Can Oregon's QB Kellen Clemens keep his pace (65.6% comp, 955 yards, 8-0 TD-INT count) and muscle through all of the studs on the Trojans defense?

2. Again, two top ten teams face off when Tennesee goes to LSU. The could be, althought not likely, be a preview of the SEC championship game. Can Tennesse bounce back from a tough loss vs Florida and upset the Tigers? Can the LSU players pull together again and beat another ranked team?

3. The Ty-bowl. Who would have expect Charlie Weis, Ty Willingham's successor at Notre Dame, to appoint this matchup verses Willingham such a thing? Ty's move to Washington seems to be going pretty well, while Charlie started spectacularly and still is a sweet victory for Weis. Can Charlie's team, mostly recruited by Ty, pick up some intensity against their old coach and squander Washington's hope of an upset as they seemingly easily can? Can Ty complete the impossible and pull the same card as Michigan State did last week in ND's heartbreaking loss while getting their QB Isaiah Steinback to continue to improve?

4. In the battle of the (ranked) Techs, Virginia Tech hosts Georgia Tech. MinyVick has done well so far, leading VT to a 3-0 and #4 ranking start, as well as allowing 16 points on one touchdown in three games and shutting out their last two opponents. Meanwhile, GT hasn't exactly killed their three previous opponents (Auburn, North Carolina, Conneticut), winning by an average 10 points. While that is good against Auburn, NC and UConn are not at the top of the class as far as college football is going. Can GT step it up, pull the upset, and win what could be the deciding game for who wins the ACC's Coastal region? Can VT and Marcus Vick keep up the pace and shut down, shut up, and destroy GT to move one more step towards running the table?

5. Big game in the Big Ten this week. Michigan visits Wisconsin, both facing a fellow Big Ten team for the first time this season. This game could be big for both teams, seeing as that Michigan needs it to have a chance at winning the conference and Wisconsin to stay in the hunt The Big Ten has begun to prove its worth by having 4 ranked teams and no team with more than one loss. Michigan is still hurting from its loss to Notre Dame and faces its first other quality opponent this year. Can the youngsters duo of sophomores QB Chad Henne and RB Mike Hart get the stats they did last year and take this game where it should go, towards a victory? Can Wisconsin beat up on a Michigan team that has no significant losses but has high expectations for the rest of the year?

...only time will tell.

good points there. i'm a die hard SC fan, but i picked oregon to win. those two blow outs did nothing to help us, and bing is coming off an injury and sartz is out. too many holes in the D against a good Oregon offense. we just need to really outscore them

Go LSU,Kentucky and VT and of course my Dawgs..
BTW Bobby it's unlikely Tennessee will be in SEC championships unless Florida loses twice. They still also have to beat Georgia and that's not happening.
Oregon beating USC? Let's just say I'm not holding my breath.

ROLL ON YOU BEARS!!!!

Best start since 1996 (4-0) AND we get to play USC up here this year. It would be nice to beat #25 UCLA and #24 Oregon before we face #1 USC.

Forsett (sp?) rushed for 237 yesterday and Ayoob ran for 3 TDS. Tedford is amazing when it comes to recruiting.

That's crazy, the cal qb is lebanese like me.

And sackingsfx, the trojans are not gonna lose to oregon. They always find a way to win. Remember last year against cal(and I know it was home) when cal had first and goal with the chance to win the game and sc stopped them? I don't care how good oregons offense is or how weak sc's defense is, sc is still gonna take that game.

^Good luck but I have to say for selfish reasons I'm rooting for Tennessee and I don't say that very often:eek:. Enjoy the game.
My Dawgs did it again, of course but the schedule's getting tougher starting next week.

I'm gonna blame you, Loopy!!! ;)

Oh well, it was a great first half!! Honestly, it was good enough just to see them play in Tiger Stadium. Now, for the rest of the season(home or away), just playing will not be enough! We've got to win them all from here on out! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

Sorry Chelle:( Nothing personal, it's just better for UGA if LSU loses. That was incredible game though. After the first half I was like oh well LSU killing them then when I came back to watch it was close. If it hadn't been for the quarterback change, LSU would have won it. Maybe next week, and in 2 weeks we'll avenge it for you.;)

That game KILLED me. I needed LSU to win by 6.5 for the final game of a parlay wager I had. I turned it off at halftime, thinking what I'd do with my 350 dollars. Looks like I am now doing nothing with it. Damn.
