From the Kristin Haynie thread, DWalkfan22 asked:
I assume that you are referring to the NCAA Division I Championship Game and the WNBA Finals (as a rookie) within the same calendar year, like Kristin did?
Great question! I'll have to think of this one, because there may be others. I'll have to find out. Of course, other posters are free to answer this question too!

Kara Lawson came close. In 2003, her final year in the Tennessee Lady Vols, she was in the NCAA Finals and lost to UConn. A month later, Kara was originally drafted by the Detroit Shock in the '03 WNBA Draft, but shortly afterwards, she was traded to the Monarchs in exchange for Kedra Holland-Corn. And the Shock went on to win the WNBA Finals, by beating the L.A. Sparks.
The thing is, if you are a member of a team that gets into the NCAA Championship Game, there is a pretty good chance that you'll be drafted by a WNBA team that went through a bad season the previous year.
Perhaps Kristin Haynie is the only one who is been fortunate enough to be in both championship games the same year.
...Is there any other player in the WNBA that has played in the finals both her senior rookie year?
