Well... make your predictions...

Illinois vs. Louisville

UNC vs. Michigan State

My picks:

Even though Louisville has been playing amazingly all year and especially in the tourney, I have to believe the Selection Commity knew what they were doing when they had Illinoi and UNC as the top two #1 seeds. Understood on my part is that obviously they didn't get the other #1 seeds (or even #2 seeds, for that matter) right, but I don't see Illinois collapsing enough for Louisville to be in control of that game, and if the Cardinals aren't at the wheel throughout that game, I do NOT see them winning it at the end. As for UNC, its a given to me that they would get this far, and a given to me that they will beat Michigan State. I have had them winning the title all year(only place where I didn't say that was in my Yahoo! KingsFans bracket, go ahead, give me slack for that), so why change my mind now?

My Picks:
Illinois over Louisville

North Carolina over Michigan State

North Carolina over Illinois

I've tried to get cute with this tournament too many times. Michigan State is the only upset pick I've done well with, besides Bucknell, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Utah. I've got to take Illinois over Louisville, and UNC over Michigan State. Both could be upsets though... blaaaah!

Illinois and UNC will be in the finals. You heard it hear,

UNC VS Il thats a tough one and my guess would be UNC but you never know in games like that.

My money is on UNC, although I wouldn't want to be on Franklin Street if they win. I was there earlier this month when they beat Duke and it was nuts.

If UNC does make it to play Illinois, that would be tough on the Illini. I like UNC's frontcourt against Augustine. If Louisville beats Illinois, I think they'll beat UNC, because they have similar athleticism with more length and good post defense. If Michigan State upsets UNC, I like them over Louisville on depth, but Illinois would beat Michigan State due to sheer athleticism. :p Confusing enough?

probably Illi and UNC...then UNC will probably win it all then. For Women's bball, I'm hoping to see Tennessee and LSU in the finals...I hope Tennessee wins it all.

PFFFT!

ACC > Big Ten

And, quite frankly, I can't believe that you actually thought that Illinois might not lose. This game was a foregone conclusion if I ever heard of one; I knew as soon as Georgia Tech got eliminated that UNC was going all the way. Not a doubt in my mind.

Actually, this was the first time I thought that Illinois was going to lose. UNC already beat us last year with the team that was a lot worse than this one, and May punished us then, so I was expecting a similar outcome this time (although not really a 10 for 11 performance). Of course, saying that this game was a 'foregone conclusion' is a total BS as the tied score 2 minutes before the game and numerous lucky bounces that UNC got would support. Not to mention some bogus stuff that refs were calling or not calling in the 1st half.

With all that said ... the rest of ACC is S**T.

Just because it was close doesn't mean they had a chance; it was a foregone conclusion.

And the ACC is way better than the Big 10; that's why they've crushed the Big 10 in the Challenge for the last decade. There are maybe two teams in the Big 10 that survive the ACC: Illinois and Michigan State; the rest would get killed.
