I just saw on NBAtv, they were talking briefly about the kings, they really didnt know much of what they were talking about, they said kevins been improving the last few years, even though hes only been in the legue 2 years. they said some crzay stuff about sar, they said he's get better stats, but at the expense of the team..i disagree....peter vescey didnt say for sure if weather or not wed make it to the post, but he seemed high on the kings, fred carter said we wouldnt be good and wed miss the post, he said were too small to compete in the west and were no phx.

i want a stuffed animal, who can pass like brad and can get in the allstar game in both the east and west

All-Star = Popularity contest.

Defend him all you want, but a center that can't rebound, defend or alter shots is like a cheetah without legs.

You do realize only one of those guys is taller than 6'9", and he plays like a guard.

yes but the size is underated with the kings when you compare them to the west. there not that smalll...

turiaf, kwame, bynum, mihm, 6-10 odom? no.

patrick o bryant, adonal foyal, zarko, biedris, dunleavy? eeek

kings are little, but not small/tiny. and plus when you have ron artest on a team, it aint small

really, popularity contest, i agree that the guys voted in to the starting lineup, but to say that the allstars voted by the coaches is a popularity contest is absolutley iridicolous, and brad can rebound, he one off year, he was getting over 9.3 in evryother year with us, the man is a beast, believe me after he retires it will be a long time b4 we see a center as good as him or vlade on the team

I don't buy that coaches are much more "in the know" than most people. They don't have time to really think about who the best SF not selected is. They get caught up in the hype just like everyone else.

Before he got 9.3 he was closer to 7-8.

Brad is anything but a beast. He's talented. He's skilled. He's most definitely not a beast.

Which NBA do you watch? These coaches I guarantee you know each players game inside and out, they have to because they coach against them 3-4 games a season!
To say that coachs don't know more than most people is absurd!

Nothing new, Kings are always being counted out. I like it that way, I like us being the underdog. Makes it that much more sweeter when we get that 3rd spot in the west.

turiaf, kwame, bynum, mihm, 6-10 odom? no.

Kwame 6-11
Bynum 7-0
Mihm 7-0
Odom 6-10
Turiaf 6-10

Lamar Odom at 6-10 collected 9.3 rebounds a game compared to 7.8 by brad and 7.5 by Kenny. Ofcourse LO played more minutes than Kenny and if Kenny had played as many minutes he would have better rebounding numbers, but there lies the other problem as well is that Kenny cannot play that many minutes in the Kings system and they have to play SAR on the same position.

But the point is that even if we assume that the kings have size and stats to back up the perception that they are big, they dont cause any fear to the other teams and teams always like to drive the lane cos they know its a easy layup waiting most of the time. Thats not the case with the lakers where the perception (you could argue about it but cannot change perception of coaches or writers or fans ) is that Kwame and Turiaf are tougher inside along with Mihm and Bynum and that it will not be a layup fest there.

Same is the case with the mavs, though they dont have great size, they have size at different positions and play solid defense to take away that lay up or a dunk and you have to work hard to get those points, cant say the same about the kings front court
