I think that NBA 09 has a chance to make a run at live this year for my second favorite game with 2k being the top dog of course.

2k9 for sure. 09's cover looks like a magazine and Parker looks weird in that picture.

I think Tony Parker's forehead always looks messed up. But I agree that 09's cover is the best. I like how the incorporated six guys when the other game only uses one. IMO it is the best cover by far.

I'm looking forward to nba 2k9. I have played Nba Live 09's demo on the 360, and was really not impressed, but i am quite intrigued with the new DNA feature that they have added.

Picked up 2K9 yesterday and it's great! The last 2K game I owned was 2K1, but I am very impressed with this one. Recommended

Yea I always have been a fan of his for some reason. He was always one of those guys that you do really well with in video games so my fan hood translated over when he came to the kings. GO MIKKI!

I detest sports game ratings... they are often based on how much different/improved the game is from the prior year, so NBA Live may be a better all around game and receive a 6.5 for being similar to last year's game and NBA 2K9 may get a 8.5 for having a lot of improvements but still be a lesser game. Frustrating!

That's true. I usually stick with Live but went with 2K9 this year, and it's a nice change. I like it a lot, even though I suck right now.

Yea I know what you mean, it is more about what you have on the back of the box than anything else. NBA 09 I thought did a lot to improve over live including the life feature but still only got a 6.5

Well if they didn't change much from last year then 2k is deff the better game. I have been a Live guy every year but after researching both for an extensive amount of time and playing both hands on I will be picking up NBA 2k9 tomorrow.

Def give a try to the demo of 09 too. The life mode is worth it. I like the sim features of 2k but then in 09 I can actually have myself play in the story mode on the kings and win the chip. Here is the website for more info. www.stepinsidethelife.com
