I don't believe that article was ever linked but the idea was known as a rumor and the telephone conference call after days of perusing the Sacramento plan seemed to indicate which way the NBA was leaning. The default position is that the Kings stay. It was up to the area, of which the Maloofs were of no assistance, to prove that Sacramento could pull it off. I think the fact the Maloofs did not take part in generating income and all the stuff KJ did is a huge black mark against them and could cost them a team. The NBA hopefully wants mature businessmen to be the owners and not spoiled brats.
