Well, First of All™, he's won an Olympic gold medal, and a FIBA World Championship, so it's a pretty USA-centric point of view to say that there isn't anything more important than an NBA championship. And, second of all, don't move the goalposts, now: you said that a guy who's been MVP of the league hasn't won "anything."
EDIT - Also, they haven't played in New Jersey in, like, eight years. Might be time to update your spreadsheet.
Lol. You’re too much Slim. Grasping at Olympic and FIBA titles as if it wasn’t going to be accomplished regardless whether the Bearded Hag was on the team or not. He was as responsible for the Gold Medal and FIBA Championship as JR Smith was for Cleveland‘s title in 2016. Joke.
I know you love to argue and take the opposing view on pretty much everything, but you’re pretty bad at it much of the time. Especially in this case.
Furthermore re: accusing me of moving goalposts — do people really fall for these weak Jedi mind games? You’re the one that moved goal posts and created a straw man by bringing up MVP’s and Int’l accomplishments when you knew exactly what I meant by “not winning anything”. I know you’re a smart person and not at all that unaware. You’re just being argumentative for the sake of being argumentative.
As for the Nets, you got me there. Sometimes I slip up and still call the Vegas Raiders the Oakland Raiders and the LA Chargers the San Diego Chargers too.
Regardless, it’s just another weak attempt to change the subject because you haven’t a strong counter argument to make. Par for the course for you, really. Obsess over minor and meaningless details while ignoring the relevant topic.
The bearded hag has won nothing as the #1 option on any team. He’s never won anything as any option on any team (though he’s clearly and desperately hoping to gravy train one clutching the coattails of KD and Kyrie). Furthermore, if it wasn’t clear enough to you before, it should be now — “anything” means an NBA Championship.
But I’m sure you’ll now bring up whatever HS or AAU accomplishments he might have in addition to subjective regular season awards and all-star team wins in FIBA/Olympics. By that logic, Christian Laettner has won something too.
As you were Slim. I know you love to have the final word, so by all means grasp at some more straws and obsess over the mundane and meaningless details.
They’re all yours.
