What happened with Boogie? I thought I remembered seeing him starting to play well down the stretch?
I knew when I saw the matchup that there was no chance that Cousins was going to play in this series. Which is the primary reason why I want the Mavericks to lose: they basically signed Cousins in case they had to play against Jokic, Gobert or Embiid in the playoffs. Cousins would be as useless against the Mavericks as Harrell is against the Suns.

Right but this isn’t exactly the worlds best free agent class thanks to all the extensions signed last year. The only two major players who fit a younger timeline to play along side Luka and Zinger are John Collins and Lonzo who both present their own concerns as players. I guess they could present big money offers to Lowry or Conley and try to really win now but I’m not sure they really put the Mavs over the top at this point in their careers.

nothing puts the Mavs over the top until they get rid of Porzingis for starters and get Luka a proper number two option. Any Collins or Lonzo acquisition is treading water

Slabs favorites on the kings seemed to be banished to the bench when they go to another team. Must be the trade off to his coach saving powers :p

@SLAB ’s own fault for saying losing Bogi was addition by subtraction ;-). Still room on the Bogi Bus Buddy :-). But if you board don’t F it up....

Perhaps

This year Bogi shot 46.4% on 5.9 attempts for catch and shoot 3’s. With Hali/Holmes running the pick and Bogi on the weak side, I suspect a Bogi/Hali pairing would have worked extremely well.

I still think Bogdan and Buddy could have worked really well together but they were intent on using Buddy as a backup PG and Bogdan as a SG or vice versa which always meant one or the other was going to be off the floor. I absolutely do not see Walton using Haliburton and Bogdan well and I think Haliburton being the glue player he is can pretty much work with anyone.

Yesterday Jazz-Griz was good, Listend to 76ers-Wiz in the background, sounded good. Other games i watched this weekend were blowouts and not very interesting. Injuries seem to be the biggest story.

Call me dumb but it feels like the Celtics might need a major retooling this offseason. These guys were sputtering even before Kemba and Jaylen got too injured to play

Danny Ainge laughs at your proposal.

On the plus side, the three remaining stars he has on his roster are locked up long term. On the minus side, Kemba's contract is probably an albatross considering the state of his knees and Jaylen might have more value as a trade chip (hahahaha) than as a long term piece next to Tatum.

Looks like the Lakers are on their way to a win or go home Game 6 at Staples Center vs a small to mid sized market team

Time to get Dick Bavetta on the phone
