That's really what sticks out - Pacers look deeper (and younger) despite losing the game. Playing the Knicks physicality helped prep them.....
If there’s anything this year’s playoffs have shown, it’s that scoring depth might be the most important thing to have in a league where half the teams are just incredibly top heavy super teams with like two shot creators and a whole bunch of three-and-d dudes who are completely incapable of getting their own bucket.

I can't figure out if it was the Pacers' lack of experience that cost them the game, or if it was the Celtics' experience that won them the game. Or was it truly a combination of both at the end of the day...

Also, as easy as it is to dog on Indiana for the few bonehead plays they made down the stretch with the basketball in both the 4th quarter and in overtime, let's not discredit the defense played by the Celtics.

That was a fun game 1 to watch. Let's see how Indiana responds in game 2.

Pacers did a terrible job of running their offense in the clutch though. Al Horford was burnt toast on pick and roll actions all night and the Pacers decided to not run a single one in OT. Now a lot of that is Jrue just absolutely holding Tyrese’s head under the bath water until he stopped thrashing in OT but a lot of it is also just the Pacers peeing down their own legs when the lights got bright.

Yeah, that Pacers offense certainly left a lot to desire down the stretch. It's almost as if they became intimidated by Boston because of their (Pacers) inability to put the Celtics away. And Boston feasted on that intimidation.

I was ready to proclaim MORAL VICTORY until I actually saw that horrendous play. They deserve to get swept now. Lmao
This kind of a loss could most certainly be demoralizing enough to a team to cause them to go on and get swept. With that being said, I still think they might have 1 win in them.

How they come out in game 2 and answer the challenge will tell a lot. If they get spanked around, someone might be carrying a bunch of broomsticks with them as they make the trip out to Indiana...

I'm not sure it's gonna matter how they response, because I don't think the Celtics are gonna rest on their laurels for Game 2 since this wasn't exactly a decisive win they could feel good about.

Crazy game, super fun watch. A lot of mistakes on both sides and some crazy shot making. Pacers need to go get the next one or it’s going to be tough.

it looked like the Pacers were going to take Game 1 until they didn't, that Hali & Siakam PnR needs to be in regular rotation, Celtics had no answer

Not so fast. I don't see horrendous play, I see some really talented teams. Defense especially with finals loose officiating really throws some players off. The Pacers run the floor and are big and play some defense. Their passing is what really stands out. Boston is a great team but they still have their hands full. fun to watch. The Pacers are not as over matched as everyone thinks.

Payton Pritchard hasn’t really improved from the guy who got his lunch money stolen by Davion at the Summer League championship.

Tatum hasn’t even bothered to show up at all tonight but the Celtics are still winning at halftime despite playing 4-on-5 whenever he was in.

Celtics picking on Tyrese on pretty much every single possession. The Pacers keep trying to hide him but the Celtics keep having his guy run a pick and roll play with the ball handler and get him involved anyways.
