NBA Draft 2025 Open Thread

Guys who get blocks and threes are always a good use of a draft pick IMO. I'm happy with this draft overall.

D. Carter / N. Clifford (or K. Ellis) / K. Murray / I. Jones / M. Reynaud with the other SG off the bench would be a fun squad to watch in a rebuilding year. There's just the small matter of figuring out how to clear $142 million worth of dead weight off the books first

So I guess Ty Jerome is probably available in free agency

They 1000% cannot afford to bring him back.

Now that would be a majorly fun swing with the MLE. Was absurdly good last year and I think if we offered a starting job, I'd have to think he'd be interested in taking it. Does he turn back into a pumpkin or is he just a legit top 15 starting PG now?

Let's put it this way, I'd rather spend money on betting he's 75-80% as good as he was last year long-term than bringing in all the retreads like Dennis/Russ/Tyus (although I still do like Tyus). If we're being forced to bring in a PG, which sounds likely

I assume you're including Domas in this? Top 15 players are deadweight now?

How many years? How much? Other than that, queue up the "It's a trap" meme. haha. He was super streaky in the post season.

When they get trounced in the play-in game by a Dallas squad featuring AD, PJ Washington, Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, Derick Lively II, and Daniel Gafford they are. And that game was at home too. That is the very definition of not it if you ask me.

Possibly a trap, but I know the other guys are bad already lol.

Looking a little closer, he was excellent in GS the year before he was hurt all last year. Just really put everything together last year.

Will hunt through the FA class a bit more in the next few days, but Ty looks like a screaming value.
