NBA Draft 2025 Open Thread

Game Theory dudes said he's very comparable, smaller, but more disruptive and better on defense.

Sounds good to me.

I heard Cody Martin too. Basically if you're shopping colleges in Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, anywhere in that part of the country this is what you'll probably find, haha. Probably because they don't usually get first picks on great prospects but they look for upside. Great get for what's going out.

If Ainge took the dude, it’d be another instance of the Fleece Master cooking though
Seriously absent a lot of other moves you have LaVine, Deebo, Ellis, and now Clifton who are all best at two and undersized for the three. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s like the Davion pick all over again who was buried on the depth chart and never got to develop. He is too old to say let him develop in Stockton.

Nothing changes with this team.

Awesome. I like Nique Clifford.

and I’m glad I didn’t realize how phony that 2027 Spurs first rounder(that it was likely to turn into seconds after a year) was when the Kings acquired it in the Fox trade. I would’ve been pretty pissed

Monte really couldn’t get anything from them lol

I think we put protections on it. Because it absolutely was their unprotected FRP, we just all assumed it would be an ass pick and they'd be awesome.

If I’m not mistaken, the Kings have the pick unprotected. It’s only if it falls to 17 or later it goes to OKC.

Cody Martin would be an INCREDIBLE hit.

It was unprotected when we traded for it. We protected it and traded it to OKC.
So many scenarios to root for in 2027 with the Spurs. Everyone gets hurt and we get a lotto pick. Or maybe they win the title and we lose what amounts to a second rounder. Maybe that happens AND they trade Fox before doing so? Helllo!

Bro would take a 6’9 negative skill and IQ guy over a 6’6 hooper
Just a dumb comment. It has nothing to do with his skill. It’s about how to you get time on the court. If I’m Keon’s Agent I sign a 2 year restricted free agent contract and get my kid the hell out.

I won’t comment any more. You guys can all pat each others back on how we managed to get another steal of a guard and ignore all the other guys who got zero time to develop until they left the log jam.

I’m no longer a season ticket holder any more so who cares.

And it showed the value of the picks the Kings got. The 2nd rounders might have actually ended more valuable in the end. If the Kings are trading picks to win now, it was always going to be the Kings own which at this point would be a future destroyer possibly.
