Per Jen Hale during the Charlotte/New Orleans broadcast, John Salmons' wife just gave birth to their third child.

Seeing the gd lakers at 0-5, sitting at DFL brings warmth to my laker-hating heart.

I know that it's in vogue around here to hate the Clippers more, nowadays, but not me. There will never, ever, at any point in time, be any team, in any sport, that I hate more than the gd lakers. Never in life.

So the 0-5 record is the worst for the franchise since they've been in LA, only topped by a 0-7 start back in 1957 in Minneapolis? Nice going, Lakers.

BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

At what point does Kobe personally blow up the team?

I'm pretty sure he's done a good enough job of that already.

They just need Nick Young to get healthy and everything will be fine :D ;)

Ah, yes. Nick Young, the player who broke his hand trying to reach in on Kobe in practice and was treated to a comment by Bryant that it served him right for doing that in the first place. (Or words to that effect.)

Irivng and Waiters together in tbe backcourt might actually be worse than Thornton and IT. I can't belevie people were saying those two are better than Wall and Beal smh, I mean Wall and Temple are better than that combo.

That was seriously one of the worst displays of basketball I have ever seen from a a backcourt, I mean Lillard finally had a good game this season and guess who was guarding him? The chucking/over dribbling and no play making brought back memories from the last 3-4 seasons with the Kings.

Elfrid Payton is going to be awesome in a couple of years. Moves like Rondo but faster and bigger. Tenacious on defense, moves good off the ball, good creator, and relatively okay finisher around the rim. Is pretty bad at shooting but Rajon Rondo's been able to survive sub-par shooting for years.

This kid's already making me regret the Nik pick.

The East is 3-12 against the West so far and two of those wins have been against a injury ravaged OKC squad.....so much for the East "improving".

Elfrid Payton almost single-handedly won the game for the Magic. Absolutely monstrous defensive/hustle performance in crunch time, showed good court vision as well.

Tobias Harris continues to have a nice season as well. These Magic are fun to watch.

It's a bad day for the other team when Enes Kanter goes 8-13 from the field for 18 points. Cleveland finding out that Love isn't exactly DPOY material.

FYI, we're still the only team that has held Klay Thompson to under 50 percent shooting.
That was actually .500TS% along with 5 TOs, Thompson was .286 from the field. Next best result for defense? . 604TS% with 2 TOs.
P.S. Maybe Malone has an insider knowledge, how to limit Klay.

The Lakers defensive ratings with and without Kobe on the floor

Defense:

Kobe ON: 128.0
Kobe OFF: 98.5

Dwyane Wade recorded the 700th block of his career which is insane considering he's 6'4.

Popovich has replaced Phil Jackson as the master of coaching head games. Houston, undefeated and currently sitting atop the playoff standings, was probably all keyed up for a statement game against San Antonio on their home court and Popovich held out Duncan and Manu so the win means nothing. Houston doesn't get to practice their game plan for the playoffs or feel good about beating the champs, they just get 1 win out of 82 and a strange empty feeling inside. Diabolical!

Spurs were missing Bellinelli, Splitter and Mills anyway, plus Leonard looks like a glorified role player(and not a Max guy), that he is, on national TV, plus what you just mentioned - this was a good decision on so many levels.

I hate that Pop is holding players out this early in the season. Tickets are EXPENSIVE and fans deserve to see the superstars when they come to town. I don't think it's diabolical; I think it's contrary to the spirit of the game and the spirit of competitive sports in general.

James Harden has attempted 64 Free throws already, I know he's good at drawing fouls, but there's a difference how the refs call fouls against him compared to any other player not named Durrant. They seem to get more touch/beneficial calls than t I can remember, I mean Cousins has 38 and Gay has 36 he's nearly attempted as both our stars combined.
