Haven't had a scouting moment this proud since @ESP47 and I were on rookie FVV and called his breakout too.
Still can't believe the league let Hartenstein get to OKC.

So if the Warriors are out on Jimmy, who is in? Memphis? That makes sense to me. Anyone else? How about Atlanta for Capela, Hunter and whatever picks are needed. Orlando?

Man the Clippers look like a real threat. Elite playmaker, elite 2 way star, elite shooters, elite 3 and d guy and a bunch of nice bench pieces. No one is talking about them but they might now that the Klaw is back

It really depends on how long the Klaw is back though
I thought he was going to be a nice backup stretch 5 that could at least hold his own on defense and while he never developed that outside shot, he's been way better than I imagined.
A few of us were high on Boucher and Vanderbilt as well. We've had some hits and some misses but all of these guys could have been had for pennies on the dollar at the time.
Yeah, it's kind of silly that most of this is just looking at ball ref and nba.com stats/lineup data and you can find these hidden gems pretty much every year. Boucher and Vandy are a good call, but even someone like Monk coming off 2 very good seasons and a LAL year where he was an incredible shooter and secondary playmaker was super undervalued. I don't think anyone thought he'd continue to develop as an offensive hub type, but guys who put up numbers often do find ways to truly breakout if given the shot. Hartenstein the last 2 years and developing into a DPOY candidate another example
Yeah and it's not that difficult to do either. Half the time I just look at the VORP numbers on bball ref. If their VORP is going up every year into positive territory but their overall numbers are still low, that means they're a prime candidate to break out and they shouldn't cost much because they aren't getting any media coverage.
Tyus Jones was another easy find with this method. He had a great ast/to ratio and his shot was just okay but he played solid defense with good VORP numbers for his usage. You sign the guy on the cheap and even if he doesn't improve, his impact is already higher than what his numbers and salary dictate (see Keon Ellis). Now we look up a few years later and Jones is shooting 43% from 3 and starting next to guys like Durant and Booker.

Did you just start watching the NBA recently? Stars have been regularly sitting out games for over a decade now. Sometimes they all play when it's a big game on network TV. :shrugs:

That makes sense actually. Their advanced analytics have them winning minutes with any 2 person combo among the big 3 but they lose their minutes when all play together. Beal as a sixth man makes sense and if they can find a center for Allen in a trade they might be cooking again. Let’s hope no one helps them with that

no one wants Beals 2 year deal for near 60 mil per. Absolutely no one should be trying to help the Suns out here
This is exactly why Beal was always a "stay away" Good player, but not near good enough to justify his insane contract/injury history. And if things ever went wrong (like they are now), you're stuck.
