How likely is a trade to Phoenix? The Suns won't give up Durant or Booker for him, the Heat won't take Beal, no team will take Beal in a multi-team deal. The Suns have little chance of cooking up a complicated deal using Nurkic+Allen+O'Neal+Okogie, especially considering they have no draft capital to send until 2031. And the Suns are going to be way over the second apron next year, leaving them only the vet min. Jimmy's going to opt out of $52M next year to sign a vet min contract in free agency? Go for it, dude.

They'll likely have to give up Grayson Allen and/or Ryan Dunn to get a deal across the finish line. This would be an absolute disaster for that fanbase, but as division rivals I hope they find a way to make it work. Our Pacific division neighbors continuing to get older and more fragile is a boon for us.

Nice to see Queta contributing tonight…I guess..lol
So stupid, one of the things i never understood with him. Spent 2 years developing him in the G-League, he became one of the best players in that league... only to dump him for Javale? And he's developed into the exact back-up C we were hoping for and need right now.

My initial thought with that move was always that Monte was doing Brown a favor to bring in one of "his" vets. Oops

did a little digging for the original article but here it is

https://www.nba.com/thunder/news/acquisitions-190710

Thunder traded PG at the right time while value was as high as it was going to be. He was averaging 28, 8 and 4. Shai was untapped potential at the time so all those draft picks were a fall back in case Shai didn't pan out. Point being, now is the time to sell high on Fox while still able to maximize value and start building this team properly with a sound foundation in place.

I think you need to let this season play out, but I agree that I’d be more interested in trying to unearth the next SGA than some distant picks.

Ainge has quietly creeped more toward Hinkie these past couple of years, ever since they got off to that hot start a couple seasons ago out of nowhere and then he started engineering losing to get guys like Hendricks and Keynote.

I hope they get crappy lottery odds again because I think constantly sitting capable NBA players with the goal to be to get a better pick should anger the NBA gods. I hate that he's just wasting years from these guys careers. (Lauri, Collins, Sexton).

All that being said, Kessler is still on a rookie contract and a good player.

Pacers just upset the Cavaliers, handing them just their second loss at home on the season. That should create some interest for their rematch on Tuesday, TNT gotta be pleased about that.
