NBA Charity Game to Benefit Katrina Victims

Ugh! That was horrible basketball. I thought I was watching the And1 tour.

Congrads to the x king for doing something and proving things can be done with a lil effort!

Now to pick a nit... I hope each player is giving more then 10 grand. For certain players They can spend that in an hour. C'mon guys dig a lil more deeper in those pockets.

I have it on tape and look forward to watching it tonite. I'll be sure to have the tissues handy, thanks VF. I saw clip of T-mac helping out in Houston and that got me started blubbering again. I know this will really get to me but it's great to see so many people helping out.

Just in case some haven't thought about it, donating blood is also a good (and cheap) way to help out during natural (and national) disasters. Once enough blood is donated to fulfill local needs, the extra can be shipped to where the injured are. Give the gift of life. :) It's one of those things money really cannot buy!

Although the game yesterday was really messy and sloppy, it was good to see some basketball in september. I wish there would've been some kings players, but oh well.

Oh and one more thing and I don't care if it doesn't belong here, NINERS rule. Muhahahahah.

Kenny made it a point to say that although there was a minimum donation of $10,000 requested that virtually every single player - and some not even there - made contributions far in excess of the minimum requested.

hahaha, that was some bad basketball played yesterday. especially when boozer (not sure if it's really him...) tripped over somebody else (forgot who). and all the missed dunks and alley oop passes. but it was all for a good cause and they all looked like they had fun. and nobody got hurt, so that's good. some of my favorite moments were the three-point tradeoff at the end. the players throwing stuff into the stands during timeouts. the cool looking dunks. don't remember too much from it right now since i watched it at 11 last night and i am hella tired right now. but that's what i remember.

i really loved seeing the clips of the players going to the shelters and helping out like that instead of just giving money. i hate kobe bryant, but last night he was one of my favorite players. kinda like stephon marbury after that press conference. i hate these guys on the court and in the public "basketball" eye, but i loved them representing like this. anyway, i loved how kobe and the little boy interacted with each other. and today i saw the pictures on nba.com, everyone all looked like they were having fun and i loved seeing the players holding all the kids and it all looked so cute.

and even though allen iverson didn't play, it was real cool of him to go and show his support. he moved up a few spots on my players i like list. haha.

On a sidenote, blood and blood platelets are extremely expensive. I used to deliver blood for the Red Cross to hospitals in L.A. and the prices they payed for blood were unbelievable.

The bball wasn't good but I didn't care and I don't think anyone else did either. Like they said it was about people and not the game. Those segments with the kids especially were very touching. Props to everyone involved and I love what Chuck said he was doing for the people, buying those 5 houses is incredible gesture. I'm glad TNT didn't mind interrupting Law and Order so we had to a chance to see this.
