NBA 2010-11 Salary Cap set at $58.044 million

now we know why lebron needs an hour for his decision tmrw... hes going to surprise the world and sign with sac! haha

I have no clue if we're going to sign anyone with all that money...and I doubt anyone else does either, and that's exactly how he wants it. :D

Almost $2M more than the estimate from mid-season. Not shabby.

I don't know how many things I have read saying that we need to get rid of contracts to sign a max player.

We better not sign a max player. No one left on the market is worth that type of contract (and no, LeBron is not signing here).

Salaries the Kings owe for this season (not including DMC's contract which was signed today)

Tyreke Evans: $3,880,920
Samuel Dalembert: $12,200,000
Beno Udrih: $6,655,000
Francisco Garcia: $5,500,000
Carl Landry: $3,000,000
Jason Thompson: $2,178,000
Omri Casspi: $1,254,480
Donte Greene: $930,700

TOTALS: $35,599,100

you figure that DMC will make around roughly $3m this season. which leaves them with $19m left in cap room with only 9 guys under contract

Dont forget that not only do we need more players to fill the roster out, but we have to get over the salary min of around 43 mil.

Plus we have an offer open to Brockman, and something just tells me we're going to sign Whiteside. Realistically, I can't see us starting the year with over about $14.5M in cap space, and that's assuming very prudent shopping on Geoff's part.
