While somebody always has to win or lose I feel bad in a way that these two lists are battling for the LeBron Throne since in part I feel they simply exceeded my musical knowledge. There are at least a dozen artists on the combined lists I had simply never heard of, and probably another dozen that were just names to me but I couldn't place any of their music. The gap in the North American vs. Euro charts had a hand. Hence they arrive here perhaps not because they were poor lists, but simply because they were unknown ones. Ah, the perils of the hip and the obscure. :p

I know for me, this is the case with William Blake, Henkel and to an extent, jalfa's lists. I mentioned when we were debating on extending the draft to 26 or 30 that things were going to get busy, and well, they have. So I haven't had time to check out the band's I haven't heard of, which in WB's and Henkel's case, is probably 50% of them. jalfa has more that I heard of, including Modest Mouse and QotSA, both of which I was planning on taking myself. I'll probably check out the artists on WB's list at some point, but it will be well after the voting is over.

All I needed to know about Jalfa's list: (BTW, something cool begins happening in the video about 50 seconds in... and then for the rest of the video.)

Love it!!!!

You should like Bonobo a lot, too. Burial, whom I didn't draft due to lack of output, as well. Just in case you aren't completely familiar with both.

I don't mind ending up here, btw, when I saw the first few rounds of picks I knew I didn't stand much of a chance. Was a fun thing to do anyway, not just because it introduced me to a whole lot of artist I didn't know (I'm still way behind checking even half of those out), but also because afforded me the opportunity to relisten my collection and check out the entire catalogues of some artists I only had one album of.

...so are we voting for the best of the worst or the worst of the worst? I mean, we're talking about the LBJ (whoah) toilet bowl, right? Either way, I think my vote is the same. ;)

I stay away for a couple of days I find out I finished dead last AND the Kings are trying to get Crawford. From now on I'll make sure to check the forum daily!

That'll teach you!

Its how we inspire loyalty around here. Show up daily...or else. :p

btw, the artist I regret not drafting most (didn't know him before):

Brilliant, brilliant lyrics!
