Move over, Kobe... Shaq has someone new to feud with.

Fortson has been one of Shaq's testier opponents for a few years now. There was a game in 2002 where they had to be separated. The game was so contentious that Fortson fouled out and started yelling "_____ (cat)" at Shaq from the sideline.

I guess that explains the lack of "Queens" comments since 2002.
KA_2, you are not being funny. Have you nothing better to do than come by a Kings message board and take a swipe at the Kings? That is called trolling, my dear. We don't take too kindly to that.

I hear your opinion, Aries, and I respect your right to it. However, whether his comment is right or wrong is irrelevant to my comment. KA_2 comes by here and trolls. We don't like trolling.

Yep KA has a point. Shaq whined about Vlade's flopping when the Kings were the foot steps shaq hesrd in the night. Now he had Ben Wallac, Danny Fortson and the ever present Tim Duncan to worry about. And when the time is right Brad will be getting hes fair share of Shaqs attention. As is the Kings do not apaer to be much of a threat.

Wrong.

Shaq used the "queens" comment as recently as last year during the playoffs.

Heres the same story exceptafter the game:

Shaquille O'Neal and Danny Fortson have exchanged some rather choice words toward each other this week.

Heading into Sunday night's game, which Fortson's Sonics won 108-98, O'Neal expressed his anger with how Fortson played in their last matchup, another Seattle victory Monday night which snapped the Heat's 14-game win streak.

''All they do is flop and the referees fall for it,'' O'Neal told the Miami Herald after the game last week. "That's not basketball. Big men, Bill Russell and Bill Walton, they should be ashamed to even watch the game.''

Fortson, of course, didn't appreciate the comment so he fired right back at O'Neal.

''Write this down: If he can't get two or three feet under the basket, he is ineffective,'' Fortson said. "My goal is to keep him out of the paint. That is easier said than done. But I am going to try to keep him out of the paint and see how good he is.

"I challenge him to take a jump hook, take a couple jump shots. I bet you he can't do that. Of course he is going to complain about flopping because he has to be inside to score buckets."

Fortson wasn't done.

"If he doesn't get inside to score buckets, he might as well give the ball to Dwyane Wade and move," he said.

O'Neal responded to those comments Saturday.

''Tell him to average more than eight points,'' O'Neal told the Herald. "That (expletive) knows what he was doing.

''I don't have to shoot from more than two feet. I'm top 50,'' O'Neal said, referring to his inclusion on the NBA's list of the 50 greatest players.

"I've got 23,000 (points) from where I shoot.''

O'Neal had one last statement for Fortson.

"Don't (flop) and then act like you can handle the Diesel.

Shaq is an animal and has plenty of room to talk after tonights game, I guess he wasn't fooling around at 11-18, 28/11. I would have liked to have see the game cause I appreciate Fortsen's skills but Shaq is the man in my book.

O'Neal didn't score a point after getting a dunk and a free throw with 7:38 left. He acknowledged Fortson wore him out.

"They get it going on the pick and roll and he just bulldozes his way in there," O'Neal said.

Fortson's line:
Min FGM/A 3PT FTM/A O D TR A PF ST TO BL PTS
D. Fortson 22 5-7 0-0 8-10 2 7 9 0 3 0 0 0 18

First half was Shaq's, second was Fortson's. No hard feelings for Shaq, especially since his team couldn't win the game ;).

Yeah^^ personally I think Fortson held his own since he only played 22 min and Shaq played 38. He definately outplayed him in the second half when it mattered though. Considering the buildup before the game it was pretty impressive.

HA, the stat line says only points and boards, nothing more, but enough...I have a definite affinity for BIG MEN, wish we had a really good one. I love Brad and Tag serves a purpose, but to have a guy who can constantly clog and work around the basket, ahhhhhhhh....sweet. Having a big man who can work in the middle on both ends of the floor would solve some of our defensive woes too, maybe.
