Yesterday i went to Monterey to go to the warf and have some clam chowder in a bread bowl...i love it...anyways, i decided to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium as well, and do you know what?

THEY HAVE A LIVE GREAT WHITE SHARK IN CAPTIVITY THERE...i have never seen a great white shark before, and although it is still a baby, it was really cool to see a shark that i have only seen close up on TV. It was really amazing...it wasn't even trying to eat the giant, and i do mean giant tuna fish that they had in the tank also...I asked oneof the employees there why she wasn't eating any of the other fish, and they told me that they monitor the sharks feeding, and it never really wants to eat them. They also had a baby hammerhead shark i the tank as well, kinda cool, had never seen a baby one. The ocean is sooo amazing and seeing a great white was one great experience.

You guys should check it out if you are ever down there.

no, but i think sometime within the next 6 months they will have to let it go...it will get way too big, and i think start to eat everything, if it got bigger and was still in captivity, i might pass out or somethin...do you know how big those things get...like 20 to 25 feet long, like a bus pretty much.

WOW, will be at Skip Barber Racing School at Laguna-Seca Raceway the weekend of Mar.5-7.Will check it out ,never seen one up close either, plus my 10 year old son is fascinated with sharks.

Free Willy!!!!

Not really. Yes, I've been there before, and it was an amazing place to visit. I'd been to aquariums before, but nothing close to that scale. The place was beautiful and stylish, but also had some massive tanks. There's one tank that you walk into a big room, and the wall is just all tank glass from floor to celing, and there are the biggest, most amazing looking sea creatures in there.

Definitely worth the trip.

Just not sure how I feel about releasing a Great White back into the sea. Some how that seems like one of those bad ideas that comes back to bite you...

I went with my sisters to Monterey Bay Aquarium last summer. Very cool and nice place by the ocean. :) My favorite was where they had the jellyfishes.
