Cuttino Mobley didn't walk off the practice floor as much as he labored his way to the showers.
The Kings guard is still sore and creaky, but he said he will be game-ready tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers - ready to return to the starting lineup after missing the previous two games with a lower back strain.
Mobley also has endured a groin strain since his Kings arrival, though he said watching games hurts much more.
"This is the first year that I've really been hurt like this," Mobley said. "Hopefully, it's not a habit."
Meanwhile, center Brad Miller might miss another start tonight, his sixth in succession, with a calf contusion. A Washington player fell on his leg Feb. 27, and he's been limping ever since, with a periodic fluid buildup that can't be drained like a swollen knee. In his place, Brian Skinner has performed well, with 10 or more rebounds in four games and nine or more points four times.
Bibby residue - Mike Bibby's dramatic buzzer-beating three-pointer off the glass to beat Memphis on Tuesday could remain a hot topic the rest of the season.
"I was scared to look up," Mobley said, laughing.
Kings coach Rick Adelman, moments after the game-winner said: "I didn't think he really needed to bank it. I thought he was going to make it straight on. That's what we talked about."
Finally, all hands on deck - At long last, the Kings had every man available for a practice. There was an actual five-on-five scrimmage, with the healthy bodies greatly outweighing the wounded. "I think it was the first time since training camp," forward Peja Stojakovic said. "It's been that long."
