Mobley is sore but set to return

Cuttino Mobley didn't walk off the practice floor as much as he labored his way to the showers.

The Kings guard is still sore and creaky, but he said he will be game-ready tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers - ready to return to the starting lineup after missing the previous two games with a lower back strain.

Mobley also has endured a groin strain since his Kings arrival, though he said watching games hurts much more.

"This is the first year that I've really been hurt like this," Mobley said. "Hopefully, it's not a habit."

Meanwhile, center Brad Miller might miss another start tonight, his sixth in succession, with a calf contusion. A Washington player fell on his leg Feb. 27, and he's been limping ever since, with a periodic fluid buildup that can't be drained like a swollen knee. In his place, Brian Skinner has performed well, with 10 or more rebounds in four games and nine or more points four times.

Bibby residue - Mike Bibby's dramatic buzzer-beating three-pointer off the glass to beat Memphis on Tuesday could remain a hot topic the rest of the season.

"I was scared to look up," Mobley said, laughing.

Kings coach Rick Adelman, moments after the game-winner said: "I didn't think he really needed to bank it. I thought he was going to make it straight on. That's what we talked about."

Finally, all hands on deck - At long last, the Kings had every man available for a practice. There was an actual five-on-five scrimmage, with the healthy bodies greatly outweighing the wounded. "I think it was the first time since training camp," forward Peja Stojakovic said. "It's been that long."

He's like his mom..LOL. At the Philly game, his mom was there and when Cat was at the FT line, the camera was on his mom and he mom hardly checked to see if Cat was making them.:D

^i do that too...or sometimes ill turn the channel....sometimes i leave the room and then just come back and watch the replay...or go back and watch the end of the TiVo

me too. when it's time to make clutch FTs (or when MIKE is at the FT line) i can never look. i go hide in the kitchen and i ask my brother to keep watching then i'll just have to guage what happened depending on his reactions. i'll go back in the room when both FTs are attempted. :o

i also jinx them in a good way by saying "oh (player) won't make that" just to counteract the PBP guys' jinx by saying stats like "(player) has gone 5/5 in the line tonight." or "(player) is an 80% FT shooter."

well, i tape the games so i don't miss anything when i go chicken out and hide in the kitchen.;)

You guys are sad - not watching the most exciting parts of the game....... :)

Why watch at all if you aren't going to watch the best parts? That's when I am on the edge of my seat glued to the screen - I don't want to miss a second of the action. That is what MAKES the game!
