Well, Giants are terrible

And perhaps they coveted the wrong prospect last season.

James Tibbs III has 7 HR, 13 RBI, and is batting .500 in 9 games in AAA

What makes it worse. He's not in the Boston system anymore…

Turns out sometime between the Devers “heist” and now….

Tibbs wound up in the Dodgers organization.

Hate the Dodgers all you want, they manage to keep pumping out talent from their minor league system and keep that system like top five in baseball year after year despite picking at the bottom of the draft every season. Everybody complains about the money they spend but the way the entire organization is built on the foundation of the minor leagues is underappreciated.

Well, Houser is terrible.

What happened to that big shot pitching prospect we had?

Birdsong blew out his arm and also looked awful and Wisenhunt looked like a late-starter with a mid changeup as his big weapon.

Shocked that the #5 starters we signed to fill the lousy rotation look exactly like #5 starters. Lol

Trevor McDonald looked good in spring training and in spot innings last season. Bring him back up and give him a shot

The family is heading to the SF Giants game today - any food recommendations there? I haven't been to a game in a couple years.

Came across this….Spencer Miles was taken from the Giants farm system as a Rule 5 pick by the Blue Jays this past year. He’s currently thriving with Toronto in this early sample size. Reading up on him, injuries probably kept him from being a 40 man protected guy but it goes to show the difference in some organizations. Blue Jays keep uncovering young unheralded players while SF languishes

Tony V thought he could sneak Ryan Walker in the 8th inning with a lead and he wouldn’t choke if it wasn’t a save situation.

Nope. Walker blows another

I dont hate this, at all. Sell as high as you can on Bailey. Hes one of the best defensive catchers ever. But we are 1300 PA into his career at this point and the dude just cant hit.

Get a quality rebuild asset and let CLE figure out his bat before having to pay him.

Looks like Wilkinson is a real prospect too. Has had a ton of success, was ranked #13 in the Guardians system

Cleveland fans are lamenting the loss of TUGBOAT. I was fed up with Bailey. At some point the bat becomes inexcusable.

It’s a really good and smart trade by Posey. SF is not in a position where they can afford to have a defense only catcher in the lineup. Cleveland is. Plus, Cleveland is just a non stop machine in turning out pitching prospects AND a good pick. This will really pay off

Feel like Robbie Ray could be the next guy to go if a team is looking. Bring back McDonald and or Whisenhunt and go with youth

When I saw Susac also had a quick arm behind the plate I knew Bailey was out of rope. Only delayed by Susac’s injury.

Also interesting that Cleveland is sending a first round draft pick for this years draft. I thought you couldn’t trade future draft picks in baseball.

Don’t know anything about the arm we got but it seems like a nice haul for a guy who can’t hit. Cleveland must be having some issues with guys stealing on them
