If you look at his career, and especially last year, he’s capable of being very good but there’s a lot of time missed with injuries…..I mean a LOT.

Feel like Buster missed on Imai, especially seeing the options after every year and just a 3 year deal.
SF being mentioned as interested in E Cabrera. Do they deal Eldridge for him?
Cabrera has been a lot of potential and kind of delivered on that last year but was only a 1.23 whip

I get it, you're getting a quarter billion, but do none of these guys care about competing anymore? Is there really an appeal to joining the all-star squad where you're gifted a world series ring?

I love what the Dodgers are doing. They spend infinite money, because they make infinite money which is fueled by their spending of all the money. It’s incredible.

I have nothing but respect for that ownership group, and every other owner is a coward to not try to match it.

I guess not. Baseball is the one sport where you don’t sacrifice anything from joining a super team. You still get the same at bats. You can still put up the same numbers. Super teams are actually romanticized(Murderers Row, Big Red Machine) and rarely counts against a player if they join one. If anything, you are more likely to get more good pitches to hit.

I respect that they are willing to spend. Annoyed the the Giants have seemingly become tightwads, but I do think the MLB needs to ban the deferred money aspect.

I don’t think that’s an option available for other markets and it’s easier to spend big in the moment when you have about a billion dollars deferred and don’t even have to think about it. It might not even be that much money to pay yearly ten years from now, relatively speaking.

Maybe it wouldn’t make a difference but that annoys me.
