Mistake to fire Adelman?

#62
The general acceptance here on this board for the past two years and across the nation has been that the lakers are Kobe and scrubs. So I dont think there is anything to debate there. Last year they did not get out of first round and that was what was expected from them, they performed better than what was expected, most expected them to fold in 4, 5 or most 6 games.

But whats your point anywats

In the end, should they have fired RA? Who knows, I loved Rick and he had a very nice system, and players to fit that system. The players respected him, he respected the players. However it is done and really nothing we can do about it.

Muss, well it's been what 21 or so games? I think that is hardly enough time to judge his abilities. I have always been high on Muss as an up and coming coach. Actually would of liked to see him with our 02 team, he is working with what he has.

With that said, not even RA would win anything with the players we have here. I have always maintained that Coaches do not win games, players do. However I flip that around and say coaches do lose games. A good coach will put the best system in place to let his players succeed. After the coach does that its up to the players to perform. However put the wrong system in place, be a total jack of a coach and your in trouble.

We didn't play D last year, we played D for a week this year. Its the cast of players not the coach. IMO, we would be no better off with RA at this point and thats a mute point anyways. When you have a cast of all #2 and #3 options with no real #1 option, well...you are a .500 team at best.
