Sorry, but if the fan psyche is so blasted fragile that they can't even stand to read an article where one of our players CASUALLY mentions that he might like to return to his home state to finish his career, then they really should find a less stressful sport - perhaps competitive tatting - to follow.
He visited with some friends after the game. It happens after almost every game with one player or another. The only thing different is this time it was after a loss and a writer for the Indy Star happened to be present.
If some fans want to read too much into it, that's up to them I suppose. I'm more interested in how a player performs ON the court. I really don't feel I have to know every single word he exchanges with friends, whether they're on other teams or not. It's not like this is war. It's sports. It's a stupid game. And some people are taking it WAY too seriously. And for me, a fan of 40+ years, to say that, it must be really getting way over the top.
What's next? Monitoring their emails to make sure they don't correspond with upcoming teams and sell game secrets? Bugging their cell-phones so they can't talk to their families and give away "locker room" stuff? Checking their closets to make sure they don't have any "ENEMY" jerseys, shirts, etc. that might expose them for the traitors they are?
Please...
No, he can do whatever he wants to and as a fan it does not matter to me personally what he wants to do. But you act like that this is something fresh and new. We have had this old tired conversation before, because Sacramento suffers from "little town's complex".
WEBBER GOES TO NEW YORK, DETROIT, ETC... But the difference is back then we were winning. Now this team sucks.
