It was me. And it was and still is true.No I know he wouldn't he actually come back. But that line was tweeted out by Carmichael Dave or bruski or someone recently.
Still the way it was painted by some Malone wouldn't even p on Pete if he was on fire. So it's surprising they'll be in the same building again.
It was me. And it was and still is true.
Don't let the narrative change. You guys know I'm not huge on destroying Pete, but I know for an undeniable absolute fact that's how Malone felt.
So if he took the job, he was assured that their relationship wouldn't be that of an influential basketball decision nature.
Hey Dave, following your Twitter account...do you think Malone and friends try and figure out a way to get DMC? He was obviously Cuz's favorite NBA coach of...well, ever.

It take two to tango.
And if Vlade doesn't want to trade DMC, DMC is not going anywhere, for the next few years at least.
That would break tampering rules.
I'm not well versed on player contract strategy. Is there no way DMC could force his way out of town if he wanted to? I was under the impression that players have done that in the past. (I'm not saying that I think he wants to...just asking if it's possible.)
A player can always request a trade, but the team is under no obligation to trade him. Now, when DMC is one year away from free agency, he will have a lot more leverage in forcing a trade. But until then, Kings have control over where he plays.
Also, other teams executive and coaches can not approach our players about requesting a trade. That is tampering and strictly forbidden by NBA by laws.
(link)"We're looking for a coach that understands how we've been successful in the past and how we'll be successful in the future, with fast basketball and playing with pace," Connelly said in April.
Eh, I don't think that it's fair to say that Malone can't coach an uptempo style; it hasn't actually been proven that he can't. A big part of the problem he had here was that management wanted to run an uptempo style, but management failed to realize that they didn't actually acquire uptempo players. Malone took a good look at the hand he was dealt, and said, "Hey, man, that uptempo thing you want me to do? I can't do that with these guys, but I can make this other thing work!"
The Nuggets, unlike the Kings, are entirely suited to playing uptempo; we shall see whether or not Malone can make it work.
That's quite debAAAAAAAAtable.Drop all the drama and how poorly Malone was handled (Malone was disrespected).... in the end....WE HAVE A BETTER COACH BY FAR.... Malone will be forgotten all together in 20 years... Karl will be a HOF coach and never forgotten.... simple as that ....
Karl is WAAAAY better.... and WE ARE WAAAAAY better off with him..... Mike is a great guy and I wish him the best. I'm sure he will be good... I just don't expect greatness from him... He's very limited in creativity.
There's a lot of wilderness out there in Colo in which one can get lost.....He may have very little power now, but rest assured he's going to do everything he can to get power. And then...?
Those two notions are not exclusive, though. I tend to be of the opinion that Malone is, indeed, once again going to a team where management has a preconceived notion of what winning basketball is... AND that he's a good enough coach to run an uptempo style, if he actually has uptempo players. That's one interpretation. I see this as management once again entering the relationship with a preconceived notion of what winning basketball is. And I don't see that as a good thing for Malone's future there.
That's quite debAAAAAAAAtable.
So....should we hold our breath, for when DMC moves to Nuggets too?
Coach Malone is such a nobody that he got hired again.
he is a great stop gap... the nobody was in regards to Karls resume. Karl is a legend. Malone is an afterthought.... For the situation Denver has right now which looks to be with a rebuild and history repeating itself with the Hiring of Pete D and then Malone... its a good fit for Malone right now... But I honestly don't think he will remain head coaching material after this stop. Defensive specialist and lead assistant maybe but he's way to limited offensively and his lead decision making was highly questionable.
